We weren't sure where to stay in Shela with all of the incredible options, so decided to listen to the reviews combined with the price point and pick this place. We were so pleased with our stay: beds are v comfortable, the multi-storied building allows nice breeze in, the terrace is an absolute dream. The breakfast was so good with fresh fruit, pastries, bread, banana pancakes, and swahili tea. We were looking at the island's more expensive offers and don't feel that we missed out at all. This felt like the perfect mix of affordability, comfort, and relaxation. It was also so much more peaceful than would have been directly on the beach. They clean everything daily so it's sparkiling. It's incredibly comfortable.

Shela Bliss se encuentra a 4 min a pie de Manda Beach y ofrece alojamiento con salón de uso común, terraza y cocina compartida. It was a great stay. Immanuel was incredible, helping us with directions, turn down service, recommendations and breakfast. The home itself is beautiful with great amenities and especially views of the city.

Very warm and friendly reception. Beyond expectations! We were initially doubting to book due to a false comment of bathroom privacy issue, but we took chances and had a lovely stay, bathroom/shower is separated with locking mechanism from both sides. Host is super friendly, and greets/welcomes from Jetty, and even from Airport offers pickup service, which feels like home. We broke a glass accidently and they were cool about it too. Very accommodating, always at service to take us around as historical alleys there don't show up in Maps. We will return for sure.

We stayed at Ttunu House in January 2025, and it was simply incredible! The house is beautiful, lovingly restored, and tastefully furnished. There is truly not a single thing to complain about! The Ttunu House team—Cornelius, Stephen, and Jackson—did everything to make our stay perfect and unforgettable. Stephen cooks whatever guests desire, with only the cost of groceries charged, while the service itself is included. Upon request, we had the best tuna steaks of our lives, served with grilled vegetables and Kachumbari (a Kenyan tomato salad). For those looking for an extraordinary vacation far from tourist hotspots but without sacrificing luxury, Ttunu House is the perfect choice! We would love to come back.

Milimani Villa-Fully airconditioned Villa, que cuenta con piscina al aire libre, jardín y salón de uso común, ofrece alojamiento en Shela con wifi gratis y vistas a la montaña. The house is wonderful, spacious, luxury and quiet. Bassam is a great host and the staff are excellent too. We had a great time exploring from here or just enjoying doing nothing much at all. It is a bit outside Shela, but not that far and a nice village walk.

Peponi Hotel Lamu - Kenya ofrece alojamiento de 4 estrellas en Shela, frente a la playa, y dispone de piscina al aire libre, jardín y terraza. Second time at Peponi and it was such a pleasant stay. Super clean, friendly staff and the food is AMAZING! Hard to eat the same thing twice because everything tastes so good.

Safari was amazing, both as a guide and a host. He went over and above to help organize activities across the duration of our stay. And the cuisine was wonderful.
