If you’re visiting Nizwa, we’d definitely recommend staying at the Omani Guest House. We spent two nights in Nizwa: one at the Omani Guest House and one at another traditional inn - and we much preferred the Omani Guest House. The main reason was Ali, the owner, and all the amazing staff. They were very welcoming and friendly, which made our stay really enjoyable. The location of the guesthouse is perfect, right by Nizwa Souq, so everything from cafes to restaurants is just a short walk away. The rooms have a lovely traditional decor, and our room was very comfortable and quiet. We would definitely return.

I really hope the owner looks after and pays him well.. he never stops, tip him, I did , he makes this place a 10/10 Jim from New Zealand

Bait Almuallem By Nomad se encuentra en Nizwa, en la región de Ad Dakhiliyah, a 4 min a pie de Fuerte de Nizwa. Hay terraza, wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Este hotel, antigua casa de un maestro, es un tesoro ubicado junto al zoco de la ciudad en la parte más antigua. El mimo de la decoración y del ambiente es maravilloso. Nuestra habitación era preciosa, con un baño inmenso y una bañera clásica con mucho estilo. (Creo se trataba de la habitación número 10). El hotel tiene una azotea donde puedes sentarte y ver toda la ciudad y la cordillera en el horizonte. Quiero mencionar especialmente a Jahid que fue muy amable y facilitador.

We had a fantastic welcome from the owner! The facilities are perfect. Our rooms were very nice and very comfortable. The location is very good.

A beautiful hotel, with fantastic aesthetics! I absolutely loved the rooms and decor. It was very spacious and served my family well. We loved the pool to dip in at the end of the day and especially the location as it was right in the heart of Nizwa, so close to the fort and souk. Our host was fantastic, really attentive and was on hand via WhatsApp to answer any questions. I would definitely stay again!

Our stay at Emina’s Bait Al-Ali Guesthouse in Al Hamra was absolutely perfect — not a single thing to improve! If it were possible to give 11 out of 10, we would, but since it’s not, we’ll “settle” for a full ten. 😊 Breakfasts were phenomenal, and the dinners were simply amazing — not only because of the delicious food, but also because Emina joins the guests. She’s a true encyclopedia of Oman — full of stories, insights, and practical tips. Thanks to her advice and suggestions, the second half of our trip was truly exceptional. The guesthouse itself is beautiful: spotless, thoughtfully designed, and full of charming details. The beds are super comfortable, and you sleep so well. All the soaps are made from local ingredients, and the dishes are crafted from clay sourced from Al Hamra, all handmade and beautifully finished. Emina is also a real foodie — every meal, both breakfast and dinner, was fresh, flavorful, and made with love. On top of that, she’s a talented photographer, and her guesthouse reflects her eye for beauty and detail. In short — if you choose Bait Al-Ali, you won’t miss a thing.
