Incredible and unique place, but it may not be for everyone. The owners are very kind and helpful, the area and the huts are amazing. Due to the nature of the place (pun intended) it comes with some challenges (remote place, bugs, geckos entering your room, taking a short hike to get to the dining area, jungle noises at night...) but I couldn't list them as negative things since it's a part of the experience. Make sure you read the description carefully and especially the message sent by the place after booking to avoid surprises!

Carmen's place está en Bastimentos y cuenta con vistas al jardín, jardín, salón de uso común, terraza, restaurante y bar. Se ofrece wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento. Estaba muy bien ubicado, sobre todo si no queres estar en el lío de bocas del toro! Y además carmen y marcel son unos genios! Tiene un trato muy cálido y están siempre atentos para ayudarte! Cocina excelente así que pudimos disfrutar de sus desayunos y sus cenas!!

Pure Roots se encuentra en Bastimentos y ofrece vistas al mar y wifi gratis a 11 min a pie de Playa de Carenero Noreste y a 2,3 km de Playa de Carenero. We had a wonderful time at this place. You are surrounded by jungle. The huts are very cozy and they have everything you need. Jen is the host of this accommodation and she lovingly takes care of her guests. There is a delicious breakfast and she helps you organize any activities you want to do. We will remember this accommodation for a long time.

Location was fabulous. Lots of windows with gorgeous views of wayer. Breakfast delivered to the room. We used the free kayaks. Snorkeling in front of the cabin was great. JJ was a wonderful host.

El Lodge de Punta Rica es el paraíso. Tienes la experiencia de un hotel de 5 estrellas con la familiaridad de una casa de huéspedes. La estética está muy cuidada, el lugar es precioso. Daniel y Brian son excelentes anfitriones, siempre atentos a tus necesidades. Cada noche cocinaron una cena deliciosa (se cena todos juntos en familia, lo cual, para mí, que viajaba sola, fue una maravilla, aunque si prefieres cenar separado también podrías) y el domingo (Sunday Funday) fuimos juntos a cenar a Bocas.

Casita Azul está en Bastimentos y dispone de alojamiento con wifi gratis a 8 min a pie de Playa de Carenero Noreste. The property is as described. Lots of storage space so you can unpack. Great kitchen. They are very attentive to your comfort. We had one of the air conditioners break down when it was determined that is could not be repaired they had it replaced right away. It is only really needed in the evening and night time for comfort and sleeping. During the day open the doors and windows and the breeze is great. A very comfortable home and a great place to unwind.

Hostal Cay está en Bastimentos y tiene terraza, bar y wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento. El alojamiento dispone de cocina compartida, mostrador de información turística y guardaequipaje. Las chicas de la recepción súper atentas y amables. El hostal es hecho en madera, está construido de una forma muy típica de la región y es muy bonito. Además, está ubicado sobre el muelle, así que tienes vista al mar todo el tiempo, la dicha de disfrutar de un lugar tranquilo y tienes la oportunidad que la embarcación te deje en la puerta del hostal. También puedes cocinar dentro del hostal. Está ubicado en isla Bastimentos, es una isla menos poblada que isla Colón y con mucho menos comercio, por lo que es una isla muy tranquila. Así que si quieres estadía relajante, recomiendo altamente el hostal.

Akwaba lodge is located at the middle of Isla Solarte about a 10 minute boat ride ($10/person) from Bocas del Toro. It is on a hill overlooking the water and Isla Bastimentos Breakfast is included in your stay. Lunch dinner and beverages are available at a very reasonable price. The lodge is an eco style lodge surrounded by jungle. Though there are no hiking trails through the jungle you are serenaded by the sounds of birds. Kayaks, SUP and snorkeling equipment is available for your use. Your host and their children are wonderful and will do anything to make your stay a pleasant and wonderful experience. Things to know, the lodge is off the grid with good WiFi and does not have AC, but we were comfortable with our open windows and ceiling fan. The lodge accepts credit cards, but tours and water taxis are cash only so bring US dollars. Side trips to Red Frog Beach and Green Acres Chocolate are a must. Pack insect repellent and anti-itch cream.

We stayed at Eclypse de Mar in one of their hotel rooms for five nights, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The setting is breathtaking—nestled in nature, surrounded by clear waters and lush greenery. The overwater bungalows and the eco-friendly design make the property truly unique. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. We especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, which allowed us to completely disconnect and relax. The room was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything we needed. It felt cozy and in harmony with the natural environment around us. The location is perfect for exploring the surrounding areas, whether you’re into snorkeling, hiking, or just soaking in the beauty of Bocas del Toro. We highly recommend Eclypse de Mar to anyone looking for a unique and tranquil getaway. We would definitely stay here again!
