We combined work with leisure, and the Wi-Fi was good enough for video conferences (for using Viber, it’s better to enable a VPN or use a local eSIM). We had an online meeting after checking out of our room, and the hotel provided us with the opportunity to hold it from the restaurant. To reach the hotel, it’s best to have a 4x4 jeep.

There are tens of desert camps in the Bidiyah area, but this one is among those with the best location. It is a bit further away from the town compared to most of the others, it is quite a distance away from the other camps, and is located on the higher ground, offering spectacular views and easy access to the dunes. The tents are spacious and cozy. The beds were the most comfortable of all I slept in while in Oman. Considering that the camp is in the desert, everything was unbelievably clean. All staff members were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast and the dinner were tasty, varied and plentiful. Drinking water was provided throughout the day.

I really appreciated the thoughtfulness of the staff and loved the quiet and intimacy of a smaller camp (only 4 tents). It was so fun meeting people from all over the world at dinnertime and breakfast, and the campfire after dinner was amazing for sharing conversation over tea while stargazing. Everything was so comfy and clean - the bed was comfortable and I loved being able to shower underneath the stars! Finding the camp was easy enough and I had a wonderful time here. Definitely go dune bashing with Ibrahim! The food was so yummy and plentiful and the sunrises/sunsets cannot be missed. I’m so glad I chose this place to stay!!

It really felt like an authentic stay in the desert, we traveled the world a lot and that was one of the most special places. Everyone at the camp was really nice. The tents are clean and comfortable. Private little bathroom attached. Food was very good. Also did the dune bashing tour for sunset which was amazing. Absolutely recommend if you want an authentic desert experience, dont expect luxury or special amenities, but still very clean and comfortable tents.

Amazing Desert Experience – Peaceful, Clean, and Unforgettable! I stayed at the desert camp for one night on my own, and it was truly one of the best travel experiences I’ve had. The camp itself was beautifully set up – very clean, peaceful, and with a truly magical atmosphere under the stars. What made the experience even more special was the amazing driver and guide, Ali. He was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and made me feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire stay. His passion for the desert and local culture really came through, and he made sure everything was perfect. Even though I was traveling alone, I never felt lonely – just completely relaxed and in awe of the stunning surroundings. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable desert experience! And the food was really nice too.

We had such a great time at Thousand Stars Desert Camp. The place is absolutely beautiful — right in the middle of the dunes, super peaceful and perfect for watching the sunset and the stars at night. Our tent was cozy and comfortable, and everything was really well taken care of. But what made the experience truly special was Ali — he’s such a kind and genuine host! He made us feel completely at home. If you want a real desert experience with great vibes and an awesome host, this is the place to go. We’ll definitely come back one day!

To Desert Diamond Private Camp είναι σε Badīyah, σε Al Sharqiyah, και διαθέτει καταλύματα με δωρεάν ιδιωτικό χώρο στάθμευσης. Extremely nice and charming hosts, excellent food. Lovely and remote tent area, quiet! Everything more then perfect! Highly recommendable! Lovely to get tea by the fire after dinner and to sit on a carpet in the desert for breakfast. I would love to return!

We really loved this experience! It's only us who been in camp, so we felt special. We ordered shuttle service (it's expensive given the fact that distance is small), dune bashing - it was really cool!, camel sunset ride (I agree with all reviewers that price is high for such activity) but we really loved it! Dinner was exceptional! bad is comfy and nice! Salim was our driver and we enjoyed his company (his english can be better though)

Rashid, the owner, is a wonderful host. He has received us with great hospitality. We appreciated good food, committed staff, interesting talks during dinner. A very pleasant stay all in all!

A very nice, small, unique desert camp next to the sand dunes. No other campsites in the neighborhood. Good dinner with campfire and good breakfast. Comfortable room with own bathroom. Good value for money. We could walk ourselves on the sand dunes above the campsite. :)
