Sophie (owner of the lodge who also runs it) was very helpful and an amazing host, nothing was a hassle for her. She organised for us last minute an amazing tour, which everyone else seemed to say no to. It was the best tour we’ve been on in a long time! Dinner is on a long table which makes it a nice family style. There are bikes for guests to use and paddle/kayaks all complimentary which was very nice. The beach in front of the lodge is small and we had it all to ourselves (everyone was out on excursions) which made it feel like we were in our own private little area. Thank you for the experience you have created for us!

Extremely comfortable accommodation, which was planned and built by my host. So amazing to have aircon and a beautiful power shower. Everything is new and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed and the best pillow in French Polynesia! Very quiet, peaceful location. Just 2 minutes walk through palm trees to a most stunning beach, which is actually next to probably the most expensive hotel in Rangiroa! Very kind, considerate hosts. Upon arrival I was festooned with a garland of sweet-smelling flowers. That evening, my hosts and their daughter presented me with a very welcome bowl of fruit and a plate of smoked fish. There is also fresh drinking water available. One evening I was dropped off in the dark at the wrong location by the dive company. A quick message to my host and he came and picked me up. Another day he invited me to come to the harbour with him to see the visiting nurse sharks. To our amazement a huge hammerhead also paid us a visit! After checkout I had a 4 hour wait which I was able to spend on the terrace under cover from the fierce sun. It was magical to spend time in one of the swinging chairs. My host promised me that he would say goodbye to me at the airport. True to his word, he suddenly appeared just as I was about to board the plane.

The house is spacious, light and comfortable. It is well equipped and essentially brand new (we were the third customers). It is situated near the harbour at the Tiputa pass. One can see the Tiputa pass from the kitchen and the bathroom windows. The local shop and some restaurants are just walking distance.

Rangi Pearl Lodge is a recently renovated holiday home in Avatoru, where guests can make the most of its free bikes and garden.

Hotel Review Our stay was absolutely amazing! The airport pickup worked perfectly, and we received a very warm welcome with flower garlands, which we truly appreciated. The accommodation was spotless and new. We especially loved having free bicycles at our disposal, which made exploring the island so convenient. The small, charming terrace and the fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed. The air conditioning worked perfectly as well, ensuring a comfortable stay. I had a wonderful week here at Vaimoe lodge! Ivan and Vaitia were always making sure that I had everything to enjoy my stay to the maximum. The rooms are beautiful, clean and spacy and you have a constant refreshing breeze coming from the ocean. You even have a direct ocean view from some of the bungalows. The local food they prepare is awesome and this side of the Tiputa pass is very natural and more calm with more locals living here and less tourists. You don't get a better package for your money in Tiputa than at Vaimoe lodge :) It's also just a short 30 min walk away from Tiputa pass where you have a cheap taxi boat every 30 min to bring you to the other side and the locals will even often ask you if you want a ride for free… You can also book all your activities directly with them like dolphin tours or diving etc… Can only recommend this place, run by a wonderful family 🤙🏽
