He was extremely attentive, responsive, and friendly, and we joined his family for some Christmas celebrations down the hill. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed watching birds while eating breakfast on the balcony each morning (Andean Motmots, Tropical Screech Owls, and countless species of tanagers). Easy access to Otun Quimbaya. Others have noted that there was no hot water, but the shower works fine, it just requires a little finesse.

Let's say it's like travelling to meet some family members for the 1st time, you grew up knowing you had cousins lets say in Santa Rosa De Cabal and decided to go and meet them for the 1st time. You arrive and have that huge feeling of homestay, they welcome you and treat you like VIP. Make sure you're 100% comfortable, ask you what you'd like to eat/drink, if you need help with transportation, anything!! And they also have on site coffee tours incl: coffee picking, coffee tasting and local food lunch. So you can have a whole experience when staying here. I thought I would have to book it separetely not realizing that I was staying at a coffee farm-:) If I were a local, I would definitely come at least every quarter to relax & recharge. The location is excellent, only a five minute walk to the thermal baths. The owners are the nicest people, and their dog Coffee is adorable. Breakfast was super tasty too. After spending the day in the thermal baths, sleeping with the sound of the river is so relaxing. Easily the best night we've had in our trip! ❤️
