The staff were really helpful when it came to getting taxis around, but a lot easier here to have a car.

Juan Santamaría International Airport is 88 km from the property. We loved our stay in this remote haven in the middle of the rain forest, surrounded by amazing hiking trails. It is rustic, but comfortable, and we enjoyed the chance to get to know the other guests. Our guided walks were outstanding and we saw an amazing array of frogs, birds and insects . It may not be for those who seek luxury, but it is definitely for those who seek authenticity. We’ll be back.

There is a seating area, a dining area and a kitchenette complete with a fridge, a stovetop and kitchenware. The property has an outdoor dining area. The location is fantastic: this cabana is quite remote in the middle of the jungle and in the morning we could spot monkeys and quite a few hummingbirds :) Additionally, the house is super well-kept and curated. We loved the outdoor kitchen and the comfy living room. Super recommend!!

A recently renovated villa set in Sarapiquí, Río Sarapiquí Lodge features a garden. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Guests can make use of the outdoor fireplace or the picnic area, or enjoy views of the river and garden. Such beautiful accommodation and location. The lodge has a huge veranda overlooking a river. From the verandah we saw fire flies, iguanas, howler monkeys and humming birds. Absolutely incredible. We are in Costa Rica for a month and so far this is our favourite place that we have stayed.

Incredible location, concept and staff. Helpful on planning activities. Buffet breakfast and lunch was delicioud.

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. The property is very remote, you can’t find it without a car. The lady working there is amazing. You forgive small issues connected to your stay just because of how nice this lady is. She is in love with her country, the nature and the animal around. My 10 points is to her really. As for accommodation it was good, the breakfast (cooked by the same lady) is great. You stay in the jungle and no one around. You wake up to howling monkeys sitting next to your room around 5-6am. So be ready.
