The best stay I’ve had in years! 🏝️This is truly a relaxing Island experience and an opportunity for you to unwind in a secluded location. Thank you Sook Peng and Fred for helping my stay feels like home! They have arranged the transfer quite seamlessly, I got picked up from the hotel early morning to the pier and then to the island. The view is truly amazing as the lodge is right in front of the sea. They have everything you need for this Island: kayaks, snorkel masks, beach mats and coconuts (and beer which is a rare commodity in the island)! Thank you Sook Peng for the wonderful breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s wonderful to enjoy a hearty home-cooked meal by the sea. I also get to taste some delicious farm-to-table vegetables they’ve grown from their aquaponics farm ♥️ I’ve enjoyed my time on the island, there’s a dive centre 5-min walk from the lodge and it’s convenient if you’d like to join a dive or two. My room is right in front of the sea with a little garden, sun lounge area and a private entrance to the beach. You’re surrounded by nature and animals, I’ve seen cats, cows, tree frogs, big green turtles and more. Just be prepared for mosquitos at night, you can spray the room before you leave for dinner, I’ve also bought a “Deep Woods” repellent and some repellent wristbands which comes in quite handy. There’s no aircon in the room but the island breeze does help, the room is well-ventilated and there’s a fan and cooling machine in the room. Truly an amazing getaway, I must come back again!

The location of the homestay is the best attraction. The beach is really right infront of the homestay and we can see the beach from the veranda of the homestay. In the morning, we practically have the beach to ourselves. During the night, we experienced a few blackouts. I think this is not the owner's fault. However, the owner provided us with portable solar lamp for our use in the house, which helped a lot. We really enjoyed our stay at this homestay and hoped we can come back another time.

Hawun Valley Kiulu dispone de bañera de hidromasaje y ofrece alojamiento con aire acondicionado en Tamparuli, a 39 km de Filipino Market Sabah, a 34 km de Likas City Mosque y a 39 km de Sabah State... Didn’t expect the room come with little pantry with ricecooker, water kettle, and stove to cook. Plates, cups and utensil for cooking also provided. But they only allow Halal food ya. There is fridge also. Room is very clean and love the sweet pink color room😆 pool is not too deep and have lovely warm temperature. This place is well maintain.

The Mangrove is ideal for a family or friends staycation. The cabins are tucked in a mangrove forest, and each can fit up to 5-6 pax. The beach is just right in front of the place with the cabins overlooking the beach itself. You can park your cars literally in front of the cabins. The owner is super friendly as well! The inside of the cabin is clean and cosy. Each cabin comes with a balcony furnished with tables and chairs, a barbecue pits, and a sink - perfect for your barbecue night! We brought our own portable stove and did some light cooking for breakfast. The wind from the sea is chilling, and you can enjoy the night enjoying the breeze while barbecuing and having some drinks.

Zara Lodge está en Bario. Esta casa rural se encuentra en un edificio de 2020 y dispone de parking privado gratis. Esta casa rural cuenta con cocina totalmente equipada, zona de comedor y TV. Jade y su familia son encantadores. Jade nos ayudo en todo lo que necesitabamos, hasta el minimo detalle. Nos lo hizo todo muy facil. Nos trato maravillosamente, como en una familia. El lugar es precioso y la comida estaba muy buena. Disfrute de platos de verdura carne y pescado deliciosos. Nos trajeron al aeropuerto y nos regalo piña buenisima. Ha sido un placer estar alli. Lo recomiendo 100%

El The Last Frontier Boutique Resort se encuentra en Bilit, en lo alto de una colina de 100 metros con vistas a la reserva forestal de Kinabatangan y a 2 horas en coche de la hermosa Sandakan. What an amazing place! Yes, you need a level of fitness that will get you up and down 600 stairs multiple times but it's worth it. Only 4 rooms, so it's private. Rooms are functional, thoughful and clean. Food was fantastic (the reviews about the amazing banana pancakes are correct). Opt to do the additional morning boat ride if you can, it's totally worth it and beautiful on the river in the mornings. Since there are a maximum of 8 guests, the boat is a lot roomier than the other boats you see from larger lodges. Each trip is 2 hours (walk from the lodge to the boat about 12 mins each way). If you can't live without the internet, get a local eSIM before you come. You get signal in the dining area. Ryan was a great guide. We saw an orangutan as we arrived at the lodge, lots of proboscis monkeys, crocodiles, macaques (pigtail and long tail) along the river. Heaps of birdlife. I can't say enough about Jason. He started the lodge from nothing over 20 years ago. His passion for the area is inspiring. We had some great conversations during the transfer and at the lodge. I required urgent medical attention at the end of our stay and Jason was outsanding in his care for me. He is one of a kind and enough of a reason to stay here.

Bayu Senja Lodge se encuentra en Kundasang y dispone de vistas al jardín, wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Amazing view with balcony overlooking southern mountains and hills from my room. Tidy & clean, with a decent restaurant on-site so not necessary to drive out to eat. Toiletries are sufficient. Thoughtful details in the room. Pleasantly surprised to find this in such a location.

Borneo Jungle Adventure está en Kinabatangan y dispone de wifi gratis, terraza, restaurante y zona de barbacoa. For the middle of the jungle, they have a great setup for all you need. The meals were fantastic and the staff super friendly. We were so lucky to see the Borneo 5 and the highlight was some orangutans and a herd of 50+ Pygmy Elephants. A wonderful trip. Mark our tour guide was fantastic.
