Truly Unforgettable Safari Experience at Drunken Elephant Mara From the moment we arrived, the warmth and professionalism of the staff at Drunken Elephant Mara made us feel right at home. The level of service was nothing short of exceptional, with every detail carefully tended to throughout our stay. Special thanks to Newton, whose attentive and friendly approach truly elevated our experience—his hospitality left a lasting impression! The food was absolutely delicious, with each meal perfectly prepared and presented. From hearty breakfasts to exquisite dinners under the stars, the culinary experience rivaled the best we’ve had anywhere. The camp’s environment added a thrilling layer to our adventure. With baboons and hyenas occasionally strolling through the area, it felt like we were genuinely immersed in the wild—exciting, safe, and surreal all at once. In short, Drunken Elephant Mara delivered an unforgettable slice of wilderness wrapped in comfort and care. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an adventurous yet refined escape.

The food was top class Indian and continental cuisine, the tents were comfortable with a hot pressure shower in the mornings and evenings an invaluable luxury in the bush!

Jambo Mara Safari Lodge is situated in the Masai Mara National Reserve. Free WiFi is available and free private parking is available on site.

Some units feature a terrace and/or balcony. There is a private bathroom with a shower and bath robes in each unit. Towels are offered. Location, bordering the Masai Mara NP. Being outside actually provides more flexibility. We arrived in the late afternoon, if we had chosen accommodation inside the National Park we would have paid US$200/pp (US$50/child under 18yo) simply to access our accommodation. Regardless of staying inside or outside the park - visitors pay park fees on a daily basis. We were very fortunate and grateful to receive a complimentary upgrade to a glass cabin room. Stepping inside, the room was comparable to a 4.5 star hotel room in the west. The bed and the bedding was super comfortable; bathroom was faultless
