To Kandalama Lodge βρίσκεται σε Dambulla, σε Matale District και σε κοντινή απόσταση από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Popham's Arboretum. We’re a couple of very experienced travellers. We’ve stayed in some of the best hotels around the world. There are many times that these five star hotels just don’t live up to expectations. Here, we took a chance as all the reviews seemed almost too good to be true. Since our stay at Kandalama Lodge we’ve stayed in many hotels around Sri Lanka. A handful were more costly than Kandalama Lodge and each time we’ve been disappointed. Wedge, the hotel owner was one the most thoughtful and intuitive hoteliers that I’ve come across in this country! His team at the lodge also understood the standards he expected. The lodge has been crafted with such care and precision in a way I’ve not seen anywhere else in Sri Lanka. The layout of the lodge, the plants and flowers around the pool, dining and bar area are reminiscent for me of a high end lodge I stayed at in Bali. Perfection! Don’t get me started on the dreamy outdoor bathroom, wow! Also, I have to say, the food is superb and reasonably priced. Amila is always on hand with his tuk tuk and he’s just the nicest person. The price to go to Lion Rock and Dambulla Cave were reasonable and he didn’t try to upsell us at all. The grounds boys are lovely and keep the pool area and grounds tidy. Honesty I can’t say enough about this place, thank you so much Wedge! I hope we have the pleasure to stay with you again one day.

Two bungalow-rooms in a beautiful garden run and own by a local family. We had a really nice stay, breakfast with fresh fruits and traditional dishes. The hosts were friendly and very helpful, they gave us useful recommendations and even cooked for us a delicious local dinner and organized a fantastic safari in the Hurulu Eco Park. We can only recommend it!

Wondeful place! Owner and his family is really nice. We had really nice stay with amazing traditional breakfast!

Location, off the main road. Amazing if you like somewhere a bit quieter, away from the tourist hubbub, but still accessible. 20-min walk to the Rock. Some tuk-tuks ask for more to drive them down the back street road. We just asked them to drop us off at the main road entrance and walked from there. Breakfast - sensational. Five stars. Home cooked coconut rotis and hoppers. Fresh, served at your selected time. But now the star of the show: Property Manager, Fernando, is a hospitality king. Waiting up late for us, to greet us with great welcome and ensure we had booked all of our drivers/activities for the next day. Making sure we were getting the best rates for our tours and tuk-tuks. Whatever we needed, Fernando delivered. He even tried to give us back our tip! But he deserved every penny. If you're reading Fernando, sir, thank you so much!!

Everything was perfect—cozy and felt just like home. The breakfast was delicious and a great start to the day. Anil and his family were incredibly hospitable, going above and beyond to ensure every detail was taken care of. The warm atmosphere and their genuine care made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Honestly can't recommend Sigiriya Lake Paradise enough! Stayed here for 5 nights and it felt like home. The location is stunning literally on a lake with a view of Lion's Rock. Chami and the family are super friendly and helpful, they even came with me on some day trips and made sure I was sorted with everything. And the food Absolutely delicious.If you're heading to Sigiriya, definitely book in here. You won't regret it.
