Surrounded by the Black River Natural Park and the mountains of Chamarel, Lakaz Chamarel Exclusive Lodge offers sweeping ocean views. The lodge is 6 km from La Goulette village. Very natural and serene location. Green, charming and eye catching. Convenient and stylish lodges, open air shower and pools. Kept closed to residents only, so feels like you almost on your own there. Great view at sunset from the bar atop the hill. Staff are best from what you could expect. A-la-carte menu and wine list in the main restaurant is fairly good and actually one could spend a few days without leaving the premises (we stayed for 2 nights). All-in-all makes your stay memorable and we will stay here again for a part of our journey next year.

We had a wonderful winter surrounded by the natural beauty of Mauritius. The fresh air and the unique atmosphere of the eco-village, along with the cozy lodges, made our stay exceptional. Every evening, we enjoyed barbecues by the fireplace. The hiking and horseback riding experiences for our daughter were also delightful. Both breakfast and dinner provided by the hotel were perfect, thanks to the fresh, high-quality ingredients used.

Everything was very well thought through and tastefully done. Every fixture and fittings were top notch. The exceptional view of the Grand Piton, the highest peak in Mauritius, just across the valley is majestic. The place is very calm, quiet and peaceful. The car park is inside the compound, right next to the lodge. The wifi was fast. The ac in the bedroom was quiet and effective. The bathroom fittings too were high quality. The bed is huge, well made and very comfortable. The breakfast spread was available in the lodge, right from the moment we arrived and was very generous. The terrace sitout was amazing to enjoy the stunning views around. The outdoor fire place with a cozy corner was very relaxing.

Το Between2Waters Chalet rental car offered έχει θέα στον κήπο και παρέχει βεράντα και μπαλκόνι. Το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Domaine Les Pailles είναι περίπου 23 χλμ μακριά. From the first moment we arrived at the chalet, it felt like a home in paradise. We particularly enjoyed the mornings, drinking a coffee on the terrace from which you can see the beach and the sea. 🌊Different birds come to say Hi and add to the truly peaceful athmosphere. The chalet was very clean, had everything one needs, and was very cozy. The nights were very quiet, ensuring one gets a good night‘s sleep. The beach is not crowded, it‘s fun to observe the surfers and the sunsets were magical. Additionally, one can use the chalet‘s own kajak to paddle out in the mornings to see the dolphins that live around the area - they are not there every morning (sometimes at other beaches) but there are good chances to see them and observing boat/kajak traffic can help to spot them. The rental car was also great, very useful to drive around to different activities and restaurants in the evening (as at Tamarin Beach, there are not that many restaurants to choose from). In general, the area is fantastic to stay in because you can reach different interesting destinations within short ride times. Anil was super friendly, easy to reach via Whatsapp, had a very short response time and helped with all our questions.

The host was there to welcome us, she was very friendly and very helpful, showed us around. We appreciated her prompt replies whenever we needed some advice. I will definitely recommend this location it is great value for money
