Το Tongariro Crossing Lodge βρίσκεται σε ένα ήσυχο περιβάλλον με μεγάλους, όμορφα διαμορφωμένους κήπους και μια γραφική βεράντα στον κήπο με θέα στο βουνό. Tongariro Crossing Lodge was a great place to stay for our family (parents, 2 adult daughters). Our main purpose was to do the Tongariro Alpine Crossing the next day. However, after consulting with Louis (owner) and looking at the predicted cloud cover, we opted to delay the hike an extra day Louis kindly suggested alternative shorter hikes/activities near by, which were very enjoyable. Louis had also reserved spots for us on the shuttle (to/from hike) but upon our arrival and discussion, we decided to drive ourselves to the carpark which ended up being a good idea since the day we hiked was extremely cloudy, not clearing up until about 1pm. Driving ourselves allowed us to be flexible and enjoy the stunning views for another hour instead of rushing back to make the 5:30pm shuttle. In addition to the room (ours was newly renovated), you could also pay for a continental breakfast and sack lunch which Louis brought to our room the night before the hike. Very convenient and yummy!! Lodge was also within walking distance of restaurants (two that we ate at had great views of mountains, sunset) and small store. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay - perfect for us :). Louis was also very responsive prior to our trip, answering my many questions.

When we first entered we wondered ,, ok,, where have we landed?.. but we have to say,,, what a wonderful place and David and Sue gave us a moment to remember for life… absolutely lovely hosts,, so genuine warm-hearted and even that we haven’t booked dinner Sue made a wonderful dinner and together with David a magical evening… we have only superlative to say…

Το Ruapehu Log Lodge έχει θέα στην πόλη και προσφέρει κήπο και μπαλκόνι. Το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Ρουαπέχου είναι περίπου 49 χλμ μακριά. What a unique place to stay! Loved our night in this log lodge - only let down was wishing we stayed longer to get more use from it. Such a unique and interesting property - very big and comfortable - would be great for a large group (almost too big for just 3 of us!) with a number of different living spaces. Loved all the different seating areas and nooks. Very much appreciated the fire running when we arrived. It did get quite cold overnight so would suggest keeping the fire running or using the heaters. The view in the morning and having a coffee out on the balcony was spectacular - as were the homemade crumpets and jam that we had for breakfast. It had everything you would need for a big group - ample crockery, cooking equipment and pantry staples. Definitely recommend stay here.

Το Braemar Motor Lodge προσφέρει καταλύματα με δυνατότητα προετοιμασίας γευμάτων, μόλις 300μ. από τα καταστήματα και τα εστιατόρια στο κέντρο της πόλης Palmerston North. The managers were extremely kind and welcoming. They did everything they could to make us feel comfortable. The hotel has all facilities you can need, especially if you are long distance cycling as we were. The studios are cosy, comfortable and well equipped. Everything is modern, very clean and functioning The hotel is not far from the center. It was perfect for us. Thanks a lot 🙂

Το Rural retreat - Tahi cabin βρίσκεται σε Ohakune και προσφέρει βεράντα. The cabin was new and beautifully furnished. Had all the faculties we needed and was close to town. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Το Gondwana Chalet perfect for all seasons έχει αυλή και προσφέρει θέα στο βουνό. Είναι σε Ohakune σε Manawatu. The chalet was warm, user friendly, plenty of space as a family to relax and enjoy, fire created lovely atmosphere and warmth. Perfect post a day on ski fields.
