El Tongariro Crossing Lodge está situado en un entorno tranquilo con jardines paisajistas amplios y una terraza jardín pintoresca con vistas a la montaña. Tongariro Crossing Lodge was a great place to stay for our family (parents, 2 adult daughters). Our main purpose was to do the Tongariro Alpine Crossing the next day. However, after consulting with Louis (owner) and looking at the predicted cloud cover, we opted to delay the hike an extra day Louis kindly suggested alternative shorter hikes/activities near by, which were very enjoyable. Louis had also reserved spots for us on the shuttle (to/from hike) but upon our arrival and discussion, we decided to drive ourselves to the carpark which ended up being a good idea since the day we hiked was extremely cloudy, not clearing up until about 1pm. Driving ourselves allowed us to be flexible and enjoy the stunning views for another hour instead of rushing back to make the 5:30pm shuttle. In addition to the room (ours was newly renovated), you could also pay for a continental breakfast and sack lunch which Louis brought to our room the night before the hike. Very convenient and yummy!! Lodge was also within walking distance of restaurants (two that we ate at had great views of mountains, sunset) and small store. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay - perfect for us :). Louis was also very responsive prior to our trip, answering my many questions.

Mairenui Rural Retreat se encuentra en Ruahine y ofrece wifi gratis, jardín, salón de uso común y terraza. The owners were friendly and personable. We enjoyed their company had a lovely breakfast. The garden and the surroundings were just beautiful. We had a very nice room and we’re comfortable.

Ruapehu Log Lodge, que cuenta con vistas a la ciudad, ofrece alojamiento con jardín y balcón a unos 49 km de Monte​ Ruapehu. very lovely house. Beds were so very comfortable. Kids really enjoyed the pool table. Location was amazing with a 15mins drive to a nearby town for food and groceries.

The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Everything we needed was there and the staff were incredibly friendly and personable. When we arrived the owner was incredibly welcoming and told us places to visit, things to do and where to eat dinner. She was an exceptional host. Would definitely stay again!

El Braemar Motor Lodge ofrece alojamiento independiente a solo 300 metros de las tiendas y restaurantes del centro de Palmerston North. Lovely hosts. Very clean and tidy. Easy parking. Great value for your money.

Tau Studio - Boutique Accommodation, que cuenta con terraza, dispone de alojamiento en Ohakune con wifi gratis y vistas al jardín. Lovely little house, I loved the design and the careful little touches. I loved having a little block of chocolate left for us by the host!

Gondwana Chalet perfect for all seasons está en Ohakune, a 17 km de Turoa, y dispone de patio, jardín y wifi gratis. The chalet was very cozy and spacious, it felt like home. Location was great, about 50 km from The Mont Tongariro National Park. Everything was great and clean. Communication with host was great too.
