It’s hard to choose what I loved most about Spirit of the River Lodge, everything was truly wonderful. The location is magical and peaceful, with the sound of the river always in the background and barely any traffic passing by. We stayed twice, in two different rooms, and both were beautifully designed, cozy, and offered gorgeous views of the river. You can really feel how thoughtfully everything was created to respect and highlight the natural surroundings. The lodge has a sauna overlooking the river, direct access to the water, and a small yoga shala where I enjoyed my morning practice and reading. Claudia and Rudi were incredibly welcoming and hospitable. They made us feel like family. We had dinner one night and breakfast each morning, and even as vegans, we felt so well cared for. The food was amazing. They also have lovely animals, a llama named Tupac and two sweet dogs, Max and Juanita, who added so much joy to our stay. The area is relaxing but also well located, with easy access to nearby towns and cities. We came back twice because we truly fell in love with the place. I can’t recommend it enough!

Llactapata Lodge overlooking Machu Picchu - camping - restaurant tiene vistas a la montaña y está en Salcantay. Cuenta con restaurante, servicio de habitaciones, bar, jardín y terraza. Amazing views and outstanding staff!

Skylodge Adventure Suites está a 13 km de Estacion de Buses y ofrece alojamiento con restaurante, jardín, terraza y bar. Algunas unidades disponen de zona de comedor y/o balcón. You really get a whole experience already beginning with the climb. I already paid one of the guides to take photos. That meant that I could enjoy the climb and the stay without thinking of taking pictures. It is definitely worth it. The meals were outstanding and there were plenty. The pod is a ‘once in a lifetime’ kind of experience. And even though it Can be cold (I visited during the Winter in Peru) take your time and go to the roof of the pod and look at the stars. Also, have in mind that the facilities are primitive but works Well (you are hanging several hundred meters over the Ground) The guides were fantastic. Their english is good, and you felt very safe with Them.

La Huerta Refugio está a 2 min a pie de Plaza de Armas y ofrece jardín, además de alojamiento con patio y wifi gratis. The garden Is just amazing, the room is comfortable and clean

Sonidos del Ande Wasi está en Písac y dispone de vistas a la montaña y wifi gratis a 36 km de Estación de tren de Wanchaq y a 28 km de Fortaleza de Puca Pucara. La disposición de la propiedad es muy cómoda. La vista a la montaña donde pueden verse las terrazas de cultivo (incas), es algo maravilloso para quienes saben apreciar la cultura. El “pueblito” aún mantiene una estética “original” lo cual genera emisiones al caminarlo. Es un lugar muy tranquilo. Ideal para conectar con la naturaleza, la cultura y también para el descanso. La atención de los anfitriones es muy atenta.

PERU QUECHUA'S LODGE Riverside está en Ollantaytambo y dispone de vistas al río, jardín, salón de uso común, terraza y restaurante. En el lodge, tanto el wifi como el parking privado son gratis. The room was big and clean. The owners were very welcoming and provided a good breakfast. Also they provided us with great information where to go around Ollantaytambo.

Villa Concepción Lodge se encuentra en Anta y ofrece wifi gratis, jardín, salón de uso común y terraza. Amazing choice The owners have been so nice to me! They took me out for dinner and drove me to the airport in the morning! Very greatful for everything!!!

Starlodge Adventure Suites está a 35 km de Estacion de Buses y ofrece alojamiento conjardín, terraza y servicio de traslado gratuito. The spot is really really cool. And the experience is very special and incredible!

Casafranca se encuentra a 21 km de Estacion de Buses y ofrece alojamiento conjardín, terraza y recepción 24 horas. En el lodge, tanto el wifi como el parking privado son gratis. This property exceeded our expectations in so many ways. It appeared even more spacious and inviting than the photos suggested. During our six-night stay, we felt incredibly comfortable, almost as if we were at a 5-star resort. We intentionally chose this location for its proximity to Ollantaytambo while offering a peaceful escape from the town center. We even enjoyed a scenic walk to the Ollantaytambo citadel one morning. Vanessa was an exceptional host, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our stay. She went above and beyond, offering a complimentary drive to the train station on our Machu Picchu excursion and even offering a return pickup. Each morning, she prepared a delicious breakfast featuring freshly squeezed orange juice, homemade granola, eggs, bread, and more. We did have to request smaller portions after the first day as the initial servings were quite generous. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay. We highly recommend this place to other travelers.
