As a tour operator, I booked this place for my clients. The place was super nice and the communication was very effective. We reached a little late and found Eunice and other two staff waiting for us. This was super amazing. We spent three nights at the property. Every night Hippos came in the compound to feed on every night. Hippos come with their young ones. I saw a whole family of hippos. 😜Mama, Papa and baby hippo. They come twice a nice at night Between 20:00hrs - 21:30 and then come back between 2:30 - 4:00 The place is very close to Kazinga channel boats and few km to Kasenyi gate in Queen Elizabeth national park. Since am a Birder, I could always start my birding while in the compound. I took enough Pictures of birds. The birds you are likely to see are;; Red necked spurfowl, laughing dove, mourning dove, snowy crowned Robin chat, white browed robin chat, black lores babblers, pied crow, marabou stork, village weavers, black headed Gonolek, Dideric cuckoo, ....... Then as you join the main road, there's a bush where you can see variety of birds.

I participated in the Rwenzori Marathon on Saturday and Ruboni was the perfect spot to stay afterwards to rest and recharge. The location is incredible with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and forests. Very peaceful and quiet. It is only a short distance to the national park entrance too. I was also really blown away by the food, having some of the best meals of my 10 days of travel in Uganda. But the highlight for me was the staff who went above and beyond to make me feel at home. A special thanks to Wilbron and Finny for their warm hospitality!

Worth re-organising your whole trip just to come here. Spectacular scenery, Alexander was a fantastic and knowledgeable host. We enjoyed hiking through the Rwenzori mountains with him. Ferdnant is the best chef in Uganda, delicious food and a fun cooking class. Can't wait to come back. Just book it!

Dinner buffet had a wide selection, lunch on the veranda was lovely. The staff was helpful and friendly. Pool was refreshing and had a good view.
