We had such a great stay in the dome! It looked amazing, the staff was super friendly and helpful and the food & breakfast was delicious! Location is quite remote so not easy to go into town, but that was exactly what we wanted. Totally worth the price!

Uspallata seemed like a quiet and safe place to me. It has everything you need without being too fancy (supermarket, pharmacies, bars, bakeries, and everything you need to enjoy the snow). It's ideal as a base for climbing the mountains. Prices are reasonable compared to other places, and the people are very friendly. Thank you so much! I hope to return soon.

Uspallata is a beautiful place to visit and hike, whether you're just visiting or running the Aconcagua Trail. They should just improve the condition of Route 7. In some places, the potholes were too large, and since it's a mountain road, you shouldn't attempt risky maneuvers.

Rugged landscape, roadsides littered with trash on the way to Penitentes, food is expensive relative to the quality, and accommodations are mediocre. Good availability of rental gear and mountain equipment.

It's advisable to stay two nights and do the high mountain...

It's advisable to stay two nights and do the high mountain trek. Avoid going in winter or late autumn, as the high mountain route is often blocked by snow, making it impossible to reach Puente del Inca and the Aconcagua viewpoint. Set aside one day to visit the Hill of Seven Colors, which is well worth the trip, and another day for high mountain trekking.

Uspallata is small, serving as a stopping point for those going to Potrerillos (a gorgeous dam!). We had lunch at La Juanita, which is a good place. But we don't recommend the pasta (they don't know how to make it properly and the presentation is kind of unappealing). For snacks and breakfast there's Rio Café (a beautiful place, excellent service and good options for food and drink).

A nice little out of the way desert hotel. It’s a little tired but the staff are excellent and can’t do enough for you. The dinner menu had a good and varied selection, beautifully cooked and quite tasty. Breakfast was as you’d expect in South America……Orange drink and coffee, scrambled eggs (but they do fried if asked) cheese, ham, fruit salad and yoghurt, bread with a toaster. Again the variety was good. Thanks to the staff of Hotel Pukarainca.

It was amazing place in the montains and base to go Up until Penitentes and Puquios or Chile .... If you have a car can go to the markets and restaurants in the city Uspallata and enjoy easily the place ! .. Camila was really nice person ..very fast to answer my questions and solute doubts .
