The location, the scenery, the food we loved it all!! Staff in the hotel is truly caring, very friendly and they really want to make sure you have a superb stay at See Rose. The room and facilities were spotless, there’s a little gym in the hotel too, that’s got enough equipment to have a good workout. Once you leave the hotel there’s plenty of activities to do nearby, if you like hiking or walking in general this is the perfect place for you. Public transport is pretty good , there’s 2 bus in most hours from the village to either towards Salzburg or Bad Ischl. I’m glad we spent 4 nights there and can’t wait to come back in summer time!

Staff was very nice to us, they helped with everything what we needed. We had so delicate diners. The room was cleaned and we had everyday cleaning service. We appreciate the large parking spot opposite of the hotel. Because of sleeping time of our young baby at the same time as dinner time the staff brought us the dinner in the evening to our room when we ask for it. It was really helpful atd we could enjoy our stay. Moreover this hotel has a terrace and you can enjoy your breakfast with beautiful lake view. For us 10/10.

The hotel was beautifully presented and our room very comfortable. The view from the lovely large balcony was stunning and the parasol an added bonus while sitting out. Just a short walk to the lake where we could swim. The staff were extremely welcoming and very helpful, offering advice and ideas about things to do and places to visit. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. The hotel is a sister hotel to a much larger hotel next door which offers restaurants and activities we could join in with. There is a golf course as part of the sister hotel which has a wonderful cafe/restaurant. We enjoyed a delicious BBQ evening there with accompanying live music. The natural pool and delightful garden attached to our hotel, added to the relaxing and perfect atmosphere.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Landhotel Hochlackenhof, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. Nestled in a very calm part of the landscape, this familly managed accommodation offers a serene and peaceful environment that is perfect for relaxation. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the room. Every corner was spotless, and it was clear that great care is taken to maintain high standards of hygiene. The room was not only clean but also very comfortable, making it a perfect home away from home. One of the highlights of my stay was the outstanding kitchen. The meals prepared here were exceptional, with a wide variety of delicious dishes that catered to all tastes. Whether it was breakfast, or dinner, the quality of the food was consistently high, and it truly added to the overall enjoyment of my stay. Overall, the quality of accommodation at Landhotel Hochlackenhof is top-notch. The combination of a tranquil setting, immaculate rooms, and superb cuisine made my stay an unforgettable experience. Das Mondsee is located within a short walking distance from the downtown shops and restaurants of Mondsee. There’s a very beautiful patio outside where you can relax. A river runs by which provides for a soothing sound. Rooms were impeccable maintained. Very clean. High quality furnishings. Beautiful bathroom. Comfortable bedding. Good WiFi reception. Easy check in albeit not in person. Online checkin prior to arrival is required. There is no lobby but customer service replies reasonably quick through WhatsApp. There is a community room where you can work or prepare something small. Well outfitted with dishes, glasses and cutlery. If you arrive late, there is a vending machine that stocks the basics as well. If I would return to Mondsee I would stay here again. Recommended.

Beautiful scenery and the views across the lake are amazing. Limited supermarket facilities and quite expensive - worth shopping further afield if you have a car. Check restaurant opening times as some were closed when you might expect them to be open, and make a reservation during busy seasons (school holidays) !

Nice place for trips around the lake and to the mountains.

Nice place for trips around the lake and to the mountains. The village has many restaurants and shops. Burgruine Wartenfels is worth seeing, especially for amazing views of the landscape, lakes and mountains.

Fuschl is a little off the best track but so quiet and...

Fuschl is a little off the best track but so quiet and peaceful. You will need some transport to get around and see the sights as the whole area is stunning. Fushl is lovely to visit, also St Gilgen where are at Brunetti'. The likes and walks are great as accessible and a fry your is a must. The restaurant Gamsjaga comes highly recommend and as a beautiful view over the lake.

This is our third visit to this place.

This is our third visit to this place. It is a very beautiful little village. Not as busy as other in area. Has everything we need, lake ,restaurants , walking tracks , a bank, tourist office. Also a good bus service linking surrounding area , close to Salzburg.

Small, but nice place. A walk around the lake is adviced (3hrs). Possible to swim, the heated pool is extra. Some nice restaurants, you have the chance to choose. Good place to start trips to the nearby.

It is a great place for sports, trekking, cycling, swimming...

It is a great place for sports, trekking, cycling, swimming. The lake is extra clean and you can easily reach the tops of the mountains around. If you don't stay in any hotel, you can find a quiet place to swim not far from the main street.

Perfect location! Right on the shore of the lake with small private beach - our morning swim before breakfast was just amazing! Very good breakfast. We stayed only for one night, arrived late and departed early, so did not have much more experience. We liked a lot the building and the interior - great Austrian-style family hotel experience.
