Really typical Austrian house, that feels like home when you arrive. The house is close to the lake and we were welcomed like friends by very helpful hosts (and cute cats). The apartment had a great attention to detail, felt really comfortable and had everything in it that you might need. We will come back!

absolutely stunning in the winter, everything was covered in...

absolutely stunning in the winter, everything was covered in snow when we went at the end of December. Also would be beautiful in summer by the lake. some nice restaurants near by around Grundlsee and the tourist information office was very helpful and she spoke good English. the lake is huge so takes a while to go round. there were very few English tourists in the area, so knowing a bit of German helped. the frozen lake nearby by was also a great find. we went tobogganing at Loser near Bad Aussee which had great views from the top. the buffet style food at the JUFA hotel in Grundlsee was great so you don't have to wait for food if you have hungry children. also drove through Halstatt which is a very popular tourist destination, not that impressed just lots of buses/people and no space or parking.

We very much liked it. Came with a 6month baby. They helped with the baby bed, and everything we needed. Breakfas was great, the view is really astonishing Asking extra money for the pool table was a little suprising, but anyways, at least no-one wanted to use it...

Excellent property just 15kms away from main Hallstatt. The drive was pleasant. The rooms are a bit far away from the main reception building but the view from the balcony was awesome. The restaurant is good too.

In good weather, you have to choose from the best options, as the surrounding nature (mountains, lakes, etc.) offers so many possibilities. In rainy weather, your options are considerably more limited, and you tend to make use of wellness facilities. There are very good restaurants both directly at the accommodation and in the immediate vicinity.

Grundlsee and its surroundings offer plenty of opportunities...

Grundlsee and its surroundings offer plenty of opportunities for swimming, walking and hiking. I recommend visiting the Loser Alpine cable car, visiting the Altauseer See lake, the town of Bad Ausee, a boat trip to Lake Toplitz and Kamersee, and also a day trip around the Tauplitz lakes.

Very beautiful and quiet location very close to the lake. We enjoyed hiking, cycling, paddleboarding, boat ride... and much more. All of that in one spot, surrounded by mountains, woods, blooming meadows ... . The house had everything a family needs for a perfect holiday. Beautifully built with a very practical layout, children's playground and a fascinating natural scenery in a backdrop. The place was perfect for everyone in our family from a 2year old to our grandpa. Highly recommended!

If you’re looking for accommodation that doesn’t feel too hotel-ish, this might be exactly what you’re after. It’s very cosy and has a homely feel. Our maisonette apartment was well equipped — I can’t think of anything we were missing. The location is great, with a stunning lake view. The Wi-Fi signal in the bedroom could perhaps be a bit stronger for watching movies, but we didn’t mind at all. The owners were friendly and helpful. I can definitely recommend it.
