Due to external circumstances I booked the room late evening before arrival and arrived late because of traffic problems. Lady on reception was wery kind and helpfull, all issues were solved before my arrival via telephone (when I stayed in the queue on the road).

We stayed at the Barrel House for one night and it was a truly unique experience! It’s located just outside Vienna, surrounded by beautiful vineyards and peaceful nature. The place was clean and very charming – perfect for a relaxing getaway. The host was extremely friendly and helpful, assisting us with anything we needed. The local wines are amazing and very reasonably priced. We would definitely recommend it and would love to come back! Perfect breakfast served at bed!!!!

Historical ambience and design of the hotel is simply stunning, feels like you are a guest of the Count in the 19th century. Very comfortable bed! Different options for pillows are provided. You can choose between softer one or an orthopaedic one. Rich breakfast! Everything we expected was included. Parking right at the entrance of hotel, but was full in the evening already. Nice spa complex included in the price!

The location is strategic. Outside the property provides "nextbike" as public bike rental station. You may install the nextbike app to register the services with a local phone number. Walking distance to bus stop from train station. There are a lot of restaurants around the corners. Hotel Babenbergerhof's restaurant has good menu and food as well. The room is clean. The bed is comfortable. We have a pleasant stay. Thank you.

The main square is extremely charming, and there are many restaurants and wine taverns. The vineyards surrounding the town are perfect for walks. However, keep in mind that the commuter train passes by regularly and is quite noisy. So, if you're looking for complete relaxation and peace in the countryside, you should probably travel to a more secluded area.

Enjoy a relaxing evening at a wine tavern. Savor good wine. Great hikes, something for everyone. A leisurely stroll through the vineyards, where you can unwind and let your mind wander. Or hike up to a lookout point at the Anninger mountain hut.

A very pretty little wine village.

A very pretty little wine village. Walks are possible, for example, along the vineyards. There are numerous small wine taverns serving wine and food. A fantastic wine festival with live music takes place in August. Vienna is easily, cheaply, and conveniently accessible by train.

Thanks to the pandemic, I had the opportunity to experience this hotel as a business traveler – without it, I doubt I'd have had the chance to discover this fantastic hotel. It's deservedly highly rated and therefore usually fully booked. Great location, stunning views, and comfortable rooms. The breakfast was amazing – I wouldn't have expected such a wide selection these days.

Staying at Schloss Gumpoldskirchen felt like living in a fairytale. The castle is surrounded by vineyards and peaceful nature, yet only a short drive from Vienna. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and full of historic charm, with a breathtaking view over the hills. Breakfast was delicious and varied, served in a stunning old hall. The staff were warm, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. A perfect mix of history, comfort, and serenity — we will definitely come back! 🌿✨

There was a swift check-in process and the hotel did a great job in meeting our request for a cot for our 10 month old. Our room was large and clean and had good views from the balcony. There was a reasonable variety for breakfast and after an ironing board was requested it was promptly brought to the room. If you're staying in Gumpoldskirchen for a couple of nights for a wedding or other reasons we would highly recommend this hotel.
