Even though we spent only one night and actually 12h, we really liked especially the location and the surrounding. The flowers, view, the green, the peace and the actual building. We are considering to return for a longer stay.

A very old historic building of the 14thC. Neat and spacious common areas, good sized bedrooms; down feather amenities; logo slippers, gowns, and ten out of ten heating; very clean spa. Linen change as you wished and towels daily. Breakfast: it was above and beyond with fresh produce and a full basket of local dishes, Austrian hams and cheeses, scrambled eggs, fluffy viennese croissants, vegan & vegetarian diets, breads, desserts etc and a large assortment of juices, teas & coffees. Lunch and dinner: it was a pleasant experience too. The service of the staff: was excellent with very polite staff available to assist you in any in-house enquiries to suggestions for outdoor experiences. Location: location was value for money! Hotel in a small village, next to a large market center, a 14min drive to Salzburg Old Town and a 45min drive to the closest ski resort. We would definitely return to this gasthouse.

Super location! Only one minute walk from central square of cathedral. Unlike the expectation for the old hotel in Europe, all equipments are new and functional including sufficient hot water from shower and bath tab even on the top floor. Small roof balcony from spiral staircases is charming for coffee break and breakfast. Finally Ulrike at reception takes care all for visitors kindly and cheerfully, Super!!!

I stayed at Bergland Hotel from 21.10. to 25.10., so I've spent 5 days/4 nights there. The staff was very friendly and helpful, upon check-in I received a map of Salzburg and a list of the best local restaurants/cafés, my room was equipped with a fridge and an electric kettle - with complementary tea ( 2 teabags + portions of sugar, replaced every day by cleanup staff :) ) The hotel itself is really pleasant and cozy, equipped with an elevator too. For 14€/day one could also receive breakfast there. The location was perfect, just a corner away there's a Billa store, all the major attractions are within a 15-20 min. walk, there are also 2 bus stops in close vicinity. I would 100% recommend it for anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Salzburg.

Extremely clean, very comfortable bed, nice breakfast, and really beautiful bathroom. Special thanks to the staff, while they were the main reason for this pleasant experience. Me and my partner stayed at Romantikhotel over Christmas for a few days. Firstly, the views are absolutely stunning, set up in the mountains with gorgeous views over Salzburg. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff into the cosy bar area and checked in to a gorgeous room, the beds were SO comfortable, absolutely spotless and nice and warm. The food was outrageously good, in particular the steak tartare was the best I have ever had and we couldn’t fault the service, all wonderful and very relaxed and recommended us beautiful wines to drink. Our flight home ended up being delayed and the staff were absolutely wonderful and were very luckily able to let us stay an extra night. I’m so pleased we chose Romantikhotel to stay for Christmas, it was honestly stunning and can’t recommend it enough. 10/10 service, 10/10 food, and 10/10 room - would 100% stay again. If you love your walking and hiking there are also plenty of walking trails to do from the hotel, and the staff were all so helpful with providing us maps and explaining the easy bus timetable to get into Salzburg to explore the city (or you can walk approx 1.5hours to get into the city). Thankyou all SO much for making our Christmas so perfect, we will be back!
