The hotel is really nice as are its staff. It’s quite posh yet the reception staff made me and my friend, who were soaked to the skin after cycling all day in the pouring rain (and therefore looked like a pair of drowned rats) feel very welcome.

Alpen Hertz Romantic hotel was one of the best in our long history of skiing. The hotel is clean, looks new, the rooms are large and the hotel is close to the ski slopes. Excellent food. Dinner menu is wide: you can choose meat, fish or vegan dishes. The food is lovingly prepared, like in good restaurants. Plenty of vegetables. Large spa area at no extra cost. The swimming pool is open 24 hours a day. Plenty of different temperatures and types of sauna. Every evening there are sauna programmes organised by experienced masters. There is an outdoor pool. There is a large relaxation area. There is a separate area where you can get body and facial massages and other treatments for an extra charge. The hotel tries to organise additional entertainment for its guests, so that every evening is not a boring one. Despite not being in central Austria, there is much to see and do in and around Landeck. Castle, cable-car, waterfalls etc. Close to Alpine villages such as Lech and St Anton. Landeck also has an international railway station giving access to many routes.

Perjen is a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of Landeck's town center. There's a lovely outdoor pool, a small but well-stocked supermarket, and delicious food at restaurants like Hotel Enzian or Pizzeria il Palazzo. It's a great base for trips on the Rifenalbahn or to the Kaunertal Glacier Road.

I was there off-season, from April 21st to 24th: On Easter Monday, I only found one restaurant that was open. The restaurant in our hotel also had its kitchen closed that day. The mountain gondolas weren't running for any of the three days. To find anything to do, we always had to drive several kilometers. But the area is very beautiful and relaxing.

The hotel's location in absolute peace and quiet on the mountain, away from the town – simply incredibly relaxing. Landeck has good infrastructure – but it's not a typical holiday resort. The hotel's location was chosen solely because of its proximity to the Arlberg ski area.

A charming, small town nestled among high mountains.

A charming, small town nestled among high mountains. The area boasts numerous mountain paths offering panoramic views. It's also very well-connected – in addition to numerous bus lines to neighboring towns, it's also on the main railway line connecting east and west Austria, offering quick access to many destinations both in Austria and abroad.

Landeck is a truly ugly place and bears no resemblance to the charming Austrian villages and towns. While there is a large and lively shopping center, there are very few pleasant restaurants. It's also not a suitable base for mountain hiking or winter sports, as you always need a car to get anywhere.

The property was one of the best we have stayed in Austria. Great location for visiting numerous ski resorts. The owners made us feel extremely welcoming and always checking to see if we had everything we needed. Kitchen well equipped, sofa comfortable, plenty of hot water for a shower and the large bed was also comfortable. Great views across the valley and the opportunity to sit out on a nice day. We would highly recommend and we hope to return.

Attractive hotel with good facilities on the edge of the town centre. The hotel has a very good restaurant with a well priced option for residents. The breakfast buffet was good. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Free on site parking. The owner and the night waitress were very welcoming and helpful.

What can I say - stayed here a couple of times previously - it is a motorcycle themed hotel and my 3 friends were blown away by the standards of rooms/food/bar and facilities. Special shout out to Piestri - the barman who always had a smile and a drink ready !
