We usually come to St.

We usually come to St. Valentin for the evening, but we haven't found anything interesting there, aside from hotels and restaurants. For example, the fantastic Kerschbaumer. The city seems to be primarily a dormitory for Linz during trade fairs. It's also a major railway hub.

Booked a hotel for a stopover. The place itself is terrible.

Booked a hotel for a stopover. The place itself is terrible. We got a large room, but there was no air conditioning. It was very warm in the room. The room didn't have a bathroom, but a bathtub next to the bed, making showering a challenge. For one night, it was barely adequate.

It's exactly what I need.

It's exactly what I need. I travel in that direction a few times a year. I stop here for one night. I've stayed at several hotels-pensiones here. It was exactly what I needed. But the last experience at Restaurant-Hotel Wallner was terrible. I don't recommend it.

My reason for this trip was a family celebration, not the town of St. Valentin itself. The town is not worth a visit! The busy railway line, the heavily used commercial main street, and warehouses/shipping companies dominate a large part of the townscape.

We were only there for an overnight stay on our way to Croatia. The place was very quiet on Sunday evening. The Kerschbaumer garden restaurant has good food and a wide selection, but not everything was available.

This was my second stay at this hotel, and it was just as great as I remembered. The staff is awesome, they even went out of their way to prepare us dinner, despite our very late arrival. The food was excellent, and the room was spacious, tastefully designed, comfortable, and clean. Hotel is conveniently located less than 5 mins from the motorway.

Possibly one of the best motorway hotels I've ever been to. The room was great (it even had a private balcony), breakfast was marvelous and the location (about 100 metres from the highway) couldn't be better for a traveler seeking for a place to stay overnight.

The hotel is straight across the road from St Valentin station. The room was fine, as was the breakfast. The restaurant was fully booked however they did recommend the Hotel Zur Post next door where I had an excellent meal.
