The penguins were an essential visit and didn’t disappoint. Lots of wildlife to see. Local venues had live music and the food was wonderful. Cowes is a lovely shore side town on Phillip Island.
Cowes is a lovely shore side town on Phillip Island. It is at the far end of the island from the bridge to cross over to the island. We did a mosaics class at Mosaics by the Bay, located in Ventnor. I've been to Cowes a few times and the shopping and restaurants are very good. The beach is really nice. It is very easy to get around. It can be very busy during peak seasons. There are the penguin parade, whale watching certain times of the year, adventure parks, mini golf at Grumpy's. We had two seniors and two under 3years old with us and it was very straight forward to get around. It was great walking distance to supermarkets too. The house was easy to access, perfect for our family to spread out and have their own space but also be together of an evening or during nap times in the lounge.
