So relaxing, tucked away with views of the lovely forth river and surrounding rural landscape. Being warmed by the outside fire whilst watching the sunset sky change hues was a wonderful start to the weekend. A very comfy bed, and I loved the choice of an inside bathroom or outside toilet with a view! A beautiful walk down the country lane to the famous forth pub, so convenient!

The receptionist and staff on duty are very warm, friendly and helpful. Since we had a long time to spend in Devonport before embarking on our ferry to Geelong, the receptionist advised us to drive to La Trobe. It's a most charming small town with the best gift shop in the world, named the Reliquery. You must not miss this lil town and gift shop. Besides, the hotel's location is so near to the Spirit of Tasmania pier. We had no problems taking our car into the ferry to Geelong. Thank you so much Gateway staff and management

Beautiful accommodation and from first contact Glen and Yvonne were friendly and helpful ensuring we easily found our way. The property is large and well equipped including amongst other things, freshly made bread and everything needed for breakfast. I cannot recommend this property highly enough.

We used Forth River Cottage as a base to explore activities around the area, but unfortunately that meant we got to spend very little time in Forth itself. It was a very small town which we'd like to explore more next time we visit.
