Designed by Walter Burley Griffen, Leeton is a well kept, tree lined town with interesting Art Deco buildings on edge of Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area. Museum on history of area. Local industries include citrus, grapes/wine, rice, cotton, sheep and cattle. Good sporting facilities and harness racing club. Some good coffee shops. Worth a two day visit.

Leeton is a small town with everything you need.

Leeton is a small town with everything you need. There is plenty to do in and around Leeton. Altina Wildlife Park near Darlington Point is definitely worth a visit. Whitton Malt House is worth a look and the forty minute drive to Griffith is worthwhile.

I was impressed with the Leeton community's conduct of Anzac Day, with children from all schools marching in uniform, while in their holiday period. The conduct of the Anzac Day service by the Leeton RSL Sub Branch was thorough, respectful and inclusive. Once I got my bearings, it was easy to get around Leeton.

Leeton is steeped in history, as it arguably was the focal point for the development of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area (MIA). Visitors could easily spend upwards of a week here. Visiting and exploring the area and availing one's self of the well situated Visitor's Centre on Yanco Avenue, will open eyes to the supberb museum, the Hydro Hotel, the Yanco Powerhouse Museum, the Roxy Theatre, just to name a few of the numerous local attractions, all sporting art deco facades, will not disappoint I feel.

Leeton has a very interesting history & many historical buildings. I would recommend staying one night. Art gallery has great display, and we enjoyed walking down the main street to take in the history.

Very good - What previous guests thought, 376 reviews
Arrived at the property and was greeted by the lady on the front desk who explain about the hotel , leeton and the general area. We had one room upstairs and one downstairs . Both rooms were clean to a high standard. We made use of the pool having 3 boys aged 11 , 11 and 12. It was clean and maintained to high standard. Had breakfast in the breakfast room on our last morning and it was quick and easy. We had a great stay and would recommend it to other families.

The two units in Reservoir Lane were close to Wade Hotel and the memorial park, where the Anzac Day parade formed up.
