The room's decor and facilities are very new, and the sourdough bread was delicious. The view from the floor-to-ceiling windows is quite unique.

This was our second time staying in the vintage caravan at BIG4 Castlemaine, and it definitely won’t be our last—we’ll keep coming back whenever we can. We cannot recommend this place enough, and the caravan itself is truly something special. The staff are so warm and welcoming that the whole park feels more like a boutique retreat than a campsite, and a special shoutout to Narelle, who made our stay so enjoyable. The caravan is beautifully restored, cosy, and thoughtfully equipped—extra blankets for chilly nights, tea and coffee for slow mornings, a wardrobe with hangers, and a lovely deck where you can relax and take in the surroundings. Being slightly away from the other sites gives it a real sense of privacy and peace, while still being fully powered for modern comfort. The campsite is quiet and everyone is extremely respectful, which made it feel even more relaxing. I’ve had some of my best sleeps here. It feels like you’re tucked away in the country, yet you’re only a short stroll from The Bridge Hotel and The Mill, with its boutique wineries and vintage shopping. We also loved having a fire pit set up right outside the caravan, complete with wood, kindling and firelighters. Plus, the bush hut is fantastic, with BBQs and even a stone fire oven for cooking and gathering with friends or family. We absolutely recommend the caravan and the whole experience—it’s cosy, charming, and one of the most memorable stays we’ve had.

Such an amazing stay. One of the best weekend stays we have ever had. The property was so clean and everything was premium, right down to the bed sheets. Plus a beautiful breakfast was provided! Would highly recommend!

The location was perfect! A delightful spot for a little getaway, with nature on our doorstep but all the creature comforts inside. Richard and Melissa were excellent hosts and made us feel at home, lighting the outdoor fire pit for us in the evening. A great breakfast provided in the morning. We’ll be back!

Location was lovely, beautiful views and a gorgeous pool that guests are welcome to use. Richard and Melissa were very welcoming and helpful. Their dog Frankie is sweet and friendly (all tail wags). They supply milk, and a good coffee machine. Bed super comfy. They supplied cereal and a fruit bowl for brekkie and coffee pods for the machine as well.

Maldon is a beautiful little town with lots of shops open on the weekends. The pub was shut when we were there on the Sunday but have eaten there before and it was lovely. Great place if you're doing the Steam Train from Castlemaine.

We were using it as a stop on our way home from a longer trip. I found the locals wonderful, sad to see some shops empty or closed when we were there so I obviously need a longer stay. Need to check out whats on and when first.

It is unfortunatel that the town has suffered badly with restaurant closures following Covid. Presently there is only one place to have dinner outside of fish/chips and pizza. The shops that are open are very country and fun have a little poke around.

Staying in Maldon is like stepping back in time, when life was simpler. The shops are more than adequate and have a large selection of antiques shops, to fossick through. There is an IGA supermarket, newsagent and pharmacy in the main street. There is a true sense of community and the locals will always have a chat to you. It would be great if the choice of restaurants and hotels, would be more consistent. I would recommend to prebook, especially for the Easter Festival, but even then unexpected things happen, which leaves you trying to find places to eat. The pubs serve classic pub food. Looking forward to trying Francos Italian restaurant and hoping French restaurant Le Sol, goes back to serving dinners. The Golden Nugget Restaurant in Porcupine Village, serves a delicious, Sunday, roast lunch.

The house was beautiful, cozy and spotlessly clean, with everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable stay. Jaimie was a very friendly and helpful host. Maldon is a beautiful town with plenty of history that made exploring a lot of fun. An ideal destination for a long, or short holiday. Parker House was a very comfortable place to stay, and I look forward to a return visit soon.

The Hotel was so interestingly presented. So many grand and unusual elements to delight guests. The kitchen was very well equiped and offered all appliances and cooking essentials which made self catering a breeze. The location was an easy walk into Maldon’s main street but the Hotel itself was pleasant enough to stay put for the weekend.

A charming little home in the countryside. The tiny house was comfortable and surprisingly roomy. Being mostly off grid was so easy! It was a really lovely experience being amongst the apricot orchard with visiting kangaroos and even a curious hare. 😊 Being close to the beautiful Maldon village was an added bonus.
