Search hotels in Oberon

This was our third stayover for business reasons. In our opinion Highlands is the only place to stay when in Oberon. Everything in the establishment is immaculate from the beautiful gardens to the rooms. Looking forward to the time when my wife and I can visit again with more free time to explore this lovely area. My only question is why there can't be a Highlands Motor Inn in every town? Many Motel owners around this country could learn a few things from how well this establishment is both run and presented.

Stayed one night September 2024 after visiting Mayfield Gardens. Since we were travelling as a couple, the friendly and helpful receptionist suggested we might like Room 1 upstairs, a little more room. Very comfy set-up, good facilities, comfy bed, nice and quiet. Located away from the main street area, which is quiet at night anyway. Had a nice dinner in the Royal Hotel in Oberon. A pleasant visit to Oberon for the first time. Would stay again for future visits to Mayfield Gardens.

The Big Trout motel provides reasonable accomodation on the edge of Oberon. The room that we had had a view of a grassy paddock next door and was bright and sunny. The motel was probably build in the early 70's so is not particularly modern, but typical of the accommodation that can be found in rural NSW.

I liked that the hotel was within walking distance to the venue where a concert was being held and I liked that I could go out for a smoke whenever I wanted and the bed was a comfortable bed.

Nice camp kitchen, close to shops in Oberon. Next to council indoor swimming pool which was nice for the kids to use during our stay.
