It is interesting to see both the open ocean and inside Port Phillip heads, both geographically and historically. The Lighthouse is well kept and safe to explore. Nice quiet location which can be used as a base for Queenscliff and further along the Great Ocean Road. This unit was perfect for a stay of up to a week because one can self-cater, park safely, and also be quiet and peaceful.

Serenity .It was in winter though.Closeness of cafes. The boutiques were hugely upmarket out of the reach of families A fish and chip shop is in the planning . I found the cafe staff friendly on most occasions The IGA is outstanding

A lovely town, with good cafes and and IGA, all very close to the Pt Lonsdale Guesthouse. The town seems like a very lovely community. Having ridden the Bellarine Rail Trail from Geelong, we cycled along the beach on the hard sand and jumped in the water before heading to the guesthouse - a dip in the morning before we left too. I'd stay two nights minimum next time to make the most of everything in the area.

Love the old Lonsdale area with its genteel atmosphere of laid back seaside holiday homes. The wonderful waterfront walks, playgrounds and Main Street shops. Front row to watch the ships coming and going through the heads.

Best A quiet, small beach side town A small shopping centre, and Queenscliff is nearby Fantastic walking/cycling track along the beach then by the road into Queenscliff Quiet streets, nice houses and gardens- easy to walk and cycle around We ate in Queenscliff, but could have easily dined in Point Lonsdale

I loved walking to the lighthouse and along the beach until the end of the concrete path (a good 1.5 hours). I saw dolphins on one of my walks. Point Lonsdale is a lovely, small, quiet town that provides & uncrowded break from the city & other. Hectic coastal towns.

Keys are collected approx 5 minute drive up the road in Queenscliff. Great location in Point Lonsdale, a short 10 minute walk to the strip of shops and the main beach front. The property is great as a base in the area. The accommodation has everything you'd need to make a comfortable stay and I'd have no issue in booking again when staying in the area. Photos are recent of the property.

Lon Retreat is located at the back of Point Lonsdale. I was expecting cabins however the property is a large building and our room was on the first floor up one set of stairs. Our room was spacious and had lovely views over the ground, the dunes and the sea. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room incredibly quiet. The in room breakfast of porridge it be heated up was nice. I
