This was our best accommodation for our entire trip. The green house had three bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen and large lounge area. As we were travelling as a couple with a friend we were able to spread out. The beds were comfortable and it was lovely to sit out on the deck and have a wine on our arrival. Very close to the penguin watching too.

The town is beautiful with many lovingly restored old houses. We were not expecting such an attractive place. The walk around the nut was good too, especially the views of course. Another highlight was seeing bumble bees enjoying the onion weed. We don't have them in Victoria. We highly recommend the cafe below the nut.

Well worth doing The Nut and the local restaurant Hursey's was a treat..... nice self guided tour of the historical town. Its also a pleasant drive to Stanley from Launceston with a lot of coast roads.

The town itself oozes charm.

The town itself oozes charm. We had the perfect lunch in the red pub close to the chairlift to the Nut. The lift up and back was brilliant but the walk around the top of the Nut was the highlight of our day. We did the walk in the clockwise direction which was perfect as this was easier on the legs. If your a senior this makes a difference!

Gorgeous restored heritage cottages Quiet seaside location, very scenic Great meal at Stanley Hotel, lovely scallop pie Perfect scones at Nut Cafe, near chairlift Small enough that we parked up the car and walked everywhere We loved the laidback small town of Stanley

Stanley was a surprise.

Stanley was a surprise. It had a range of things to do like Highfield and the Nut. It is a shame that so many of the businesses close for winter but you dont know that until you go there. Managed to find enough open to enjoy the trip

A small village with a village centre, shops and coffee shop...

A small village with a village centre, shops and coffee shop (most important) and Stanley Hotel restaurant. Walk along the sea front (which I didn't) but I did enjoy staying at the Stanley Village Waterfront Accommodation. I could have stayed in bed much longer but I had to vacate by 10.00. The few pics are of the cafe (browndog) taken from the car, some luggage of a solo traveller, the shore path and a few inside the apartment.

A charming and cozy cottage at a great location in one of the best towns in Tasmania. The rooms were very generous and the beds comfortable. The cheese platter and hot water bottles were a lovely touch with the inclusion of a washing machine and dryer were very appreciated

Very well maintained property in an excellent location at the heart of Stanley village. Our upstairs room was very comfortable and quiet. Staff were very helpful and the lively bistro and bar made for a great stay.
