At first, we booked a room without a view by chance, but we were lucky and we upgraded the hotel and looked at the koala. The rooms are very neat, the territory is very beautiful. And the hotel also has amazingly delicious breakfasts with a gorgeous view of the city.

We very much enjoyed the Opera House Tour.

We very much enjoyed the Opera House Tour. The tour guide was passionate about this iconic architechtural masterpiece and shared a lot of information about it that I did not know! We also enjoyed the Taronga Zoo, a massive place, well laid out with a large variety of Australian and african animals, as well as sea lions, etc. We spent the day here and still did not see everything. We explored downtown Sydney and noted that this modern city is very clean!

I had horses racing at Randwick, tram from Circular Quay takes me directly there. Halloween at The Rocks was great and the weekend market is good for shopping. We made a visit to Luna Park too. As for food, we dined at Pancakes on the Rocks, Hurricanes and Betty's Burgers plus had snacks at a few other places. We are not young, we are in the 60-70 bracket.

Do all the touristy things, it's fun.

Do all the touristy things, it's fun. The Rocks markets are boring as & over priced, Google a few local ones (Rozelle Collectors Market etc) that are much better if looking for something different. Loved Betty's Burgers!!!! Go there & try the mushroom burger. People watch, it's bloody funny & a real eye-opener! If you can download the apps for the trams & trains, SO much cheaper than the rip-off taxi drivers.

Sydney has a CBD that has every store you would want to shop at and multiple locations. If you like OGG, well you are in for a treat. every block seems to have one. Weekends are crowded in the CBD. Trams are easy to use. Don't buy a ticket as you just need a credit card with a RID to tap on and tap off. Cost about .65 cents US per ride. Take a ferry with tap on to Manly and see the beach. Walk across the bridge and have a coffee on the other side. Sydney felt safe. Don't take a taxi or uber unless you really cannot walk. Take the train from airport to CBD for a few bucks. There are many malls that are high class with many great places to eat. I would say 4 days is a decent time to stay.

I grew up in Sydney in the 70s - ‘80s and back then it was the most beautiful city on Earth, Since then the population of the city has nearly tripled and the character and charm of the place has almost completely gone. It no longer belongs to ordinary families but to the affluent effluent .It’s too crowded, too expensive and has morphed into every other western city. A damn shame.

Hotel is a nice combination of old and new decor, classy. Staff are friendly and attentive, always ready to help. In a good central location within CBD, lots of activities close by and quality restaurants in vicinity. Breakfast until 11am which I liked as I'm not a "morning" person (some hotels I've stayed in previously stopped breakfast at 9:30am forcing an early rise and rushed shower etc to make it in time to eat). I'm a wheelchair user, "easy access" room was spacious and well designed.

Quiet rooms. Rooms look nicer than the photos. They have a boutique hotel vibe rather than the standard decor you get at some hotels. Nice to be greeted by warm welcoming staff. Lovely breakfast. The fruit was perfectly ripe and fresh. The scrambled eggs were particularly good. Location is great for mid town Sydney CBD.
