We were just using Port Macquarie as a convenient stop off location on our road trip north but it did not disappoint. We arrived late, after 9pm but I had let reception know in advance. The lady (unfortunately I never caught your name) greeting me was exceptionally welcoming. So helpful with recommendations and points of interest. Arranged car parking quick and easy, plus we had an upgraded our room. We were offered a welcome drink and this particular individual has made a lasting impression we will never forget, thank you so much. We would definitely stay here again next time if we're in the area. The room was clean, functional and had all the facilities we needed. The TV options, with free movies and Netflix etc was a bonus. Bed/pillows ars surprisingly comfy with effective air con. A security box would have been a welcome addition as we had personal documents and valuables but everything felt safe and no issues. We didn't eat or use the pool, but location is perfect and close to plenty of nice cafes/food options.

Enjoy driving around the area, pretty spots by the river banks.
Delicious meals at Yummy Thai, very reasonable & fresh food.
Just get there for dinner before 7.30pm to dine in.
Good selection of cafes with excellent coffee.
Loved going to the Billabong Zoo to see the cute koalas up close
and the many different animals in beautiful enclosures. Staff
Friendly & helpful. Worth a visit while in this area.

The town has enough shops, supermarkets and banks, even has...
The town has enough shops, supermarkets and banks, even has its own hospital! We ate at the golf country club and the rsl. Both nice venues, food was average, but eatable. Everything was within walking distance, just need to watch out for uneven road and footpath surfaces. I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay there again though.

It’s a great country town. People are very friendly.
It’s a great country town. People are very friendly. Bain Park was beautiful. I loved all the cafes. Star Chinese takeaway was excellent. Vibe cafe was the best breakfast I’ve ever had. Parking and walking are an easy way to enjoy Wauhope.
I would not stay at the Star Boutique or eat at the Hasting Hotel.

Little squishy regarding the parking and the bathroom but only stayed 1 night as we were travelling a long distance & it was located halfway.
Probably a little pricey in my opinion for the room but overall happy with my stay.
Stay were super friendly!

Huge brand new apartment with full kitchen facilities. Very easy contactless check-in. Comfortable lounge with large smart TV ( also in bedroom ). Loved the Sheridan towels.
Two rear balconies.
Plenty of restaurants and hotels, RSL, within walking distance. Safe parking.

Well, it is a very spacious apartment. Location wise, it is located at the town center and not very far from the highway. Only 7 units make the accommodation quite exclusive.
The hotel offer 2 free bottle water.
Sheridan towels were used though a bit old.

Everything you need for a weekend away. Tastefully decorated, amazing scenery, peace and quiet. Easy to find just out of Wauchope. Hosts very friendly. Comfortable room, spacious, great shower. Perfect! A+ all round, no fault at all, only positiveness.

Very convenient location in Wauchope. A nice place for an overnight stop. It's an old-style motel that is comfortable enough and has had a bit of a make-over. The host was super nice and friendly. No complaints.

Conveniently located to Wauchope, Timber town shops were only 400m away with a good IGA, pharmacy and butcher etc
The room was excellent for the 2 of us, nice & clean and the shower had good pressure.
