The Hotel Fleur de Ville is a wonderful base in Brussels with friendly and hospitable staff. The rooms are elegant, immaculately clean, spacious, and everything from the bathroom fixtures to the linen look crisp and new. The hotel is a convenient base for exploring the city, a 7-minute walk to the Grand-Place and St. Michael & St. Gudula Cathedral and a 3-minute walk to the Place De Brouckère. The Wolf Food Market next door has a variety of cuisines to suit different tastes, including Neapolitan pizza, housemade pastas, pho, and pastrami sandwiches. The generous breakfast buffet of cheeses, pastries, cold cuts, fruits, and fresh juices also included your choice of a made-to-order meal, like mushroom Vol-au-vent and pancakes with a fruit compote.

Corinthia Hotel Brussels – A Taste of Modern Nobility Staying at the Corinthia Hotel in Brussels is not just about luxury accommodation – it’s about stepping into a living piece of history. Housed in a meticulously restored palace, the hotel exudes an aristocratic charm that immediately sets it apart. The room was very beautiful & exceeded all my expectations: stylish, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. I was traveling alone, so the transparent bathtub wasn’t an issue at all. But even if you’re staying as a couple, there’s no need to worry - the glass isn’t fully clear: it’s frosted halfway up at eye level, so it still feels private. One of the best breakfasts in Brussels for a 4-star hotel stay - balancing taste, comfort, and service quality in the ZEYYA restaurant. It took me 20 minutes on foot to reach the city center, a pleasant walk through cozy streets.

FAQs about hotels in Brussels

Chocolate Capital of Europe

Brussels is well-known as the headquarters of many European institutions and is often called the capital of Europe. However, Belgian waffles, beer and chocolate are just a few of the city’s best-known delicacies that can rival its political reputation.

French and Dutch are city’s two official languages so all streets and landmarks have two different names: don’t be surprised when you look for Grand Place and end up on Grote Markt!

Don’t miss the famous bronze statue aptly named Manneken Pis or the futuristic Atomium, a truly unique architectural creation. Wandering through side streets to discover small bookshops, romantic cafés and ethnic restaurants reveals Brussel's charm.

Brussels is a real melting pot of Europe, filled with great museums and art from Memling, Bosch or Rubens, historic breweries and great concert halls. Shopping addicts can visit the world’s first shopping mall, the Saint Hubert Gallery, opened here in 1847.

If you’re arriving at Brussels Airport or South Charleroi Airport, all major attractions are just a short train or bus ride away. Whether you’re looking for a design hotel, a comfortable apartment or a friendly B&B, Booking.com has something perfect for your Brussels trip.

Brussels turned out to be much more interesting than I had anticipated. Must be a lot of wealthy people there judging by the vast amount of upscale shopping . We took a walking tour and that was very much worthwhile as we saw and learned a lot on that.. Chocolates to take home as gifts were half the price they charge in London. Found an excellent street (Rue Jourdan, St-Gilles) near our hotel with good selection of Restaurants for evenings.

As Belgium's capital, Brussels is a bustling hub of business and culture. Over the course of our weekend stay, we found that there was plenty to keep a range of visitors interested, from the historic Grand Place to the Atomium, and numerous museums featuring art and even the history of fries. The city also hosts an expansive selection of good restaurants. In the centre of town, be sure to check out The Blue - a restaurant that features a number of Belgian classics including a fantastic Flemish stew. Outside of the historic quarter, Restaurant La Plume is a particular highlight that blends regional favourites with Turkish influences, and is well worth a trip to the Botanique region. Those looking for a city with traditional beauty, however, should look elsewhere. Brussels is an eclectic hodge-podge that resembles a city that has gone through an architectural blender. Constant construction and horrible 60-70s style buildings threaten to overshadow its nicer parts, giving the city an unmistakable edge. This jumble of styles won't be to everyone's taste, and should be considered before visiting.

I like the quality of things in general in Belgium.

I like the quality of things in general in Belgium. There are a lot of things to do, a lot of good places to eat and drink and a lot of fun evenings ahead. I would not recommend the city to families with kids, but more to friends, couples or even solo travellers. There are areas where you should not go at night if you want to feel safe, but you can easily avoid them

Chic city with plenty of sightseeing to do in 3 days. A lovely mix of parisian architecture and german one. Gorgenous churches and many stores to wonder through. However, the city did not lack shady people and although they were mainly in the centrum, it was not a place where you could wander without paying attention to your pockets... Nonetheless, a nice weekend getaway

Really friendly and welcoming staff! The hotel is in a strategical location, with the subway stop Rogier literally across the street and the train station Brussels North nearby. The city centre basically starts around the corner (Grand Place/Grote Markt is 10-15mins walking or 2 subway stops away). The hotel has a vintage flair, with some Art Nouveau decorations in the reception area and also in the room. Good breakfast buffet with sweet and savory options. I would definitely consider coming back.

Location is perfect for me because it's a 30seconds walk to work. For people that travel for leisure, there are 2 metro stations very close by and it's also quite close to 2 train stations. It's feasible to walk to the city center too but the metro should do the trick for the less active ones. The staff and the hotel are very nice, it has all you need and even some food/snacks in the lobby. I'll definitely stay there again whenever I have to come back to Brussels.
