Dranouter is approximately 8 miles from leper , and was very handy for my two night stop, leper was very handy to visit as were all the commonwealth world war one historical routes. The staff and food and accommodation were first class. The hotel sits on fabulous countryside, ideal for country walks and cycling. We had an excellent dinner in the Sparhof gourmet restaurant on the day of arrival and all breakfasts too. The property literally sits in the middle of the countryside but is less than two kilometres along a pretty lane from the village of Dranouter. Plenty of bicycle parking in fenced enclosure outside with ebike charging points for those that need them! Great looking pool for when the weather is nice. Large restaurant which provides excellent views over the surrounding countryside and is obviously very popular with walkers and cyclists as the hotel is situated on number of walking/cycling trails. The hotel is a lovely building and our room was very comfortable. The hotel will be even better in the near future when work on a pool in the grounds is completed. This hotel can cope with single travelers through to large family groups, the staff are wonderfully attentive without being imposing.
