Incredible! This hotel blew my expectations. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else. The shower was fully stocked, the room had everything, fridge, nespresso, tea, water, slippers etc.

The Hoxton was an oasis of friendliness in the middle of an otherwise cold and unwelcoming Brussels. The staff is excellent, not only are they helpful and friendly, but also they manage to be very human and you feel welcome and cared for. The bar has wonderful drinks, the rooftop bar has great Mexican food and cocktails, the rooms are very stylish. Since I arrived late at night and a bit shook after the short travel from the Brussels Noord station (not advisable, especially late at night) I was offered a room upgrade (with a cool bathtub) free of charge - I was so positively impressed with everything!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. My spouse and I had a wonderful weekend here. The hotel is very close to all the key attractions in Brussels, so you can walk around and see a lot. The hotel itself is on a quiet street, and there are nice cafes nearby where you can have a snack or breakfast if you don't want to eat at the hotel. The hotel has a beautiful garden in the courtyard. The room was excellent, and we especially liked the bathtub (it was very comfortable). The hotel staff are very polite and attentive. We had a great time at this hotel.

Was there to visit a clinic so didn’t get to see much, but first impression was there was not much there.. struggled to find anything to do and also not many restaurants or cafes where you can get breakfast. I did like the cleanliness and the calmness.. houses there are all great and modern to look at and it was relatively easy to get around

Machelen has a tired and dejected air about it.

Machelen has a tired and dejected air about it. There looks like some work to improve its look may have been started but definitely work in progress. We wandered around the centre of the town and most of the shops and restaurants are closed. Found a couple of places open. The most memorable part of our stay is the constant noise from aircraft taking off from Brussels airport every few minutes drowning out any chance of conversation. I'm not surprised that restaurants are closed! It's very unlikely that we will want to stay again in Machelen.

Excellent location and superb price/value relation.

Excellent location and superb price/value relation. I found everything that was offered on the website just as you see in pictures. Very clean and a beautiful and cozy place. Better than any other room offered at the same price.

As I mentioned, truly excellent value for money.

As I mentioned, truly excellent value for money. It was noisy, though. Advice: I don't sleep very early, so it didn't bother me, but maybe don't rent out rooms if your restaurant is booked for the entire evening and some guests are staying overnight.

A small suburb of Brussels, where I think you can see...

A small suburb of Brussels, where I think you can see everything in a day. We went to a concert at the Nova – which was fantastic! A great venue with old-world charm. There's also a quaint pub and a highly recommended pizza place, "Pizza Clara," behind St. Gertrude's Church. Parking is very limited, though.
