We stayed at Namur the previous year, but only for one night as en route to Luxemburg. Decided to come back for a couple of nights. It is a beautiful city with lots of lovely shops and restaurants. Great views of the city from the Citadel which can be reached by cable car. We did that on our last trip. This time we took a tourist boat along the river and it was most enjoyable. Generally unknown gem of a place that is little known outside of Belgium. Really pleasant feel to the place and ocne the renovation works of the citadel are complete then Namur will have had a good overhaul, along with the riverside developments of 3-4 years ago.Guest review byRussUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Namur seemed fully booked, being a celebration weekend, but we found our stay in Jaumes was in fact perfect for our one night. Close to all amenities and after securely parking the car we spent our time exploring the nearby citadel and riverside. Citadel was interesting, we did the underground tour and really enjoyed it. Cable car was fun, good views, busier going up than down. There are river boat tours too. Reception staff on arrival was very friendly. The room was good and comfortable. Breakfast was very good in the morning and eggs were cooked fresh as required. Dinner was good but it took a long time to be served and the waiting staff (I know they are students) were not very organized.
