The room was clean and spacious, but the amenities were significantly dated. The appliances and beds were visibly old. Furthermore, the lighting was inadequate, and there was a frustrating lack of accessible power outlets (specifically, none between or behind the queen beds). Crucially, there was no in-room safe. The digital clock was non-functional, and an ironing board was not provided. The breakfast was highly unacceptable. The selection was very limited, and the food was consistently cold, poorly flavored, and in some cases, excessively spicy. We were left with extremely few palatable choices. On a positive note, the staff were nice and polite. However, the provided internet speed was insufficient to support professional needs, such as streaming a live lecture. Considering the nightly rate, the overall experience at the Brossard hotel was significantly below its price point, primarily due to the dated infrastructure and substandard breakfast, compounded by the lack of essential amenities like a safe.Guest review byalirezaCanada - 6.0

We stayed in the convenient shopping district of the DIX30 Quartier in Brossard at Hotel Alt, which was fantastic. You can walk everwhere in the Quartier, including to the train into Montreal, which was only a 20 min ride and was 19$CD round trip for 2 people on Friday. The train takes you to the Gare Central in Montreal where you can pick up trains around the country! We loved the Cafe du Theatre French Brasserie so much we ate there twice! Brunch on Saturday till 3pm. The Irish Pub was too long a line for us on Friday but looked very popular! There is a huge Cineplex Odeon with 360 viewing and a mix of movies in French and English. I didn't visit but I saw there is an IKEA in Brossard too! As US visitors, we loved being immersed in the culture and found everyone so friendly. We got along on my rusty French just fine, and even if someone didn't understand my French, they were still super helpful. My visit was very short (12 hours) mostly in a motel. We drove to a grocery store around 9:00 pm shortly after we checked in. I very much liked the quietness of the area. Very much family residential neighbourhood located right by the river. I liked the convenience of the motel near the highway. Everything was very convenient to get to by car - gas, grocery store, Starbucks- all just a few minutes away (approx 5 minutes). Unfortunately, I had to leave 9:00 am next day so was unable to explore Brossard anymore than that.
