Everything is perfect. Beautiful mountain view from the balcony. Quiet and peaceful unit. Clean and complete. We were satisfied to be able to cook with enough equipment. Excellent insulation we didn't feel cold at night. The host is very attentive and helpful. Easy check-in and check-out. Free parking and mini market nearby.

Both the room and bathroom were spacious, modern, spotless and had windows. The bed was comfortable, with nearby usb and normal plug sockets. Wifi was quick. Rösti for dinner was delicious, and the breakfast produce was fresh and tasty. Quiet, despite its central location. Free parking in front. Warm welcome from friendly owners. I would happily return!

Amazing stay. The views are unbeatable. Room is very comfortable and clean. Plenty of space. The restaurant is very nice and the breakfast is lovely. The staff is unbelievably kind; I forgot an item at the hotel and they were incredibly helpful in making sure I got the item back.

beautiful secluded area in the middle of Switzerland, that is 1 hour away from Zurich and 1 hour away from St. Gallen and Appenzel. in 10 min you are in Weesen at the shores of Weesensee (a beautiful and tranquil lake between two mountains (no wonder the area is call the fiord of Switzerland). it is a great area for hiking, watersports, and just relaxation.

A mountain farm village with wonderful Alpine views.

A mountain farm village with wonderful Alpine views. Very family oriented offering skiing in Winter and hiking in Summer and Autumn. Many travel there from Zürich in winter to escape the gray and find the sun. Slopes there are perfect for beginners and the Ski School is very good and uncomplicated

There are great medium and easy slopes and tons of dining options for the small area. The walk around the lake was beautiful, we loved our stay at Hotel Sonne, and the ski rental was very easy. We had delicious Thai food in Weesen and great drinks on the mountain.

As a village Amden itself does not have a center where there...

As a village Amden itself does not have a center where there are usually shops, restaurants. The main street leads to the lake or further up to the mountains. There are though many hiking paths and ski slopes nearby.

I love Amden!

I love Amden! I pretty much go there many weekends since it's so close to Zürich and easy to get to. There's tons to do here - hiking trails such as Leistchamm / Mattstock, awesome restaurants such as Holzstübli with their yummy chäshörnli, lovely locals, etc. Tons of scenic Swiss countryside and moo moo cows everywhere.

Not much. There was nothing to like about this place, probably the worst one we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in lots. We had prepaid so we were stuck with it (fortunately only one night), although I felt like forgoing the money and finding somewhere else. If I want to experience the smell of Indian food I'll go to India. This was not a Swiss hotel experience

Very nice and clean apartment with two big rooms/bed rooms and one small bed room, contains all what one need for staying there. Also the kitchen is well equipped. But what is extraordinary is a view from a balcony. We spent all our evenings there with a bottle of wine and enjoed it... It is situated very close to the center of Amden.

Incredible hotel, the best in our trip! Very stylish and thoughtful design, great terrace with stunning views of the mountains and valleys (better than in the photos), wonderful breakfast with local food. And a very friendly host! It's a pity that we were only here for one night, it's worth staying longer.
