Our experience was amazing! It was wonderful to be greeted by the owners and taken care of by the staff. The location is superb, the rooms are modern and well-equipped. The view is just stunning, overlooking the mountains and the village. It was a nice bonus to take a cable care ride for free and enjoy the views from above. The spa offered a great variety and a relaxing jacuzzi. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was delicious with great service.

A beautiful family-run hotel in a magnificent part of Switzerland. The views along the Goms valley were outstanding. My room had a view along the length of the valley to the mountains around the Furka Pass. I was given an upgrade to a larger corner room which was extremely comfortable with a king-size bed, desk and sofa. The couple who own the hotel gave me a lift from the station on arrival and back to the station on departure. Breakfast was very good with an outstanding selection of different bread. Ham and/or salami was for you to slice yourself on a traditional machine. Excellent coffee. One real novelty was a multi-purpose tap on the landing providing chilled, sparkling and boiling water.

Beautiful location. Charming town. Employees are absolutely wonderful, go out of their way for you. Breakfast was out of this world. Hotel is pin neat and seemed freshly renovated. Couldn't recommend this place more.

Picturesque mountain village, some houses date from 1400’s. Spectacular hill walking, hiking. Good footpaths. Switzerland is expensive but this area is worth a visit. Easy access to Aletsch glacier for excellent ski ing. The cable car is a short drive, massive car park available or there is a regular bus service

Beautiful views, peaceful place with charming houses.

Beautiful views, peaceful place with charming houses. We took long walks around Ernen and in neighboring towns. We used car service from Lake Como to Ernen and did the same from Ernen to Interlaken. We had the most friendly and helpful staff at our hotel. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Wonderful place.

Wonderful place. Great for hiking, e-biking, and mountain biking. A beautiful Valais village with noteworthy buildings. The views of the surrounding mountains are also stunning. With our electric car, we also took trips to Binn, Fiesch (Eggishorn), the Nufenen Pass, and Belvedere (Furka).

Ernen is a lovely, idyllic place.

Ernen is a lovely, idyllic place. There are hiking trails and many possible destinations for day trips. I was able to experience autumn there. The people are very friendly. You can feel the positive energy in the village. I returned home feeling refreshed and invigorated.

Ernen is a picturesque village in Valais.

Ernen is a picturesque village in Valais. Here you'll find typical Valais houses in a peaceful setting. The village is quiet for most of the year, but it does have a supermarket, a few nice restaurants, and a post office. Ernen is close to the Aletsch Arena ski area (free ski bus during the season).

The historically very interesting and beautifully situated Walser villages of Ernen and Mühlebach are worth a visit at any time of year - probably why we have been coming several times a year since 1982.

We walked up from Muehlebach, beautiful walk, mostly through forest. The view from the Hotel/Restaurant/Terrace is absolutely stunning. We were lucky and had perfect weather. We also enjoyed the free hour in the sauna in the wellness area. Needs to be booked. The afternoon tea as well as the dinner in the restaurant were excellent. The Janos fries are a highlight! The breakfast buffet was fresh and tasty with plenty of choice. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Self catering studio apartment. Well equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Warm. Comfortable and clean. Super bathroom with underfloor heating and walk in shower. Easy outside front door parking. Ernen is a peaceful old village, has a supermarket, restaurants and fabulous hill walking. The scenery is spectacular.
