This is like a dream place. An experience you would hardly forget! The location is dreamy, my room was facing the hills with cowbells ringing all day. Breakfast are exquisite, whatever you like will be served within a minute. Service everywhere in the resort is amazing, stuff is the friendliest and the most entertaining for the ones who travel alone too. You can enjoy several different restaurants with great cuisine and views. Spa in the Waldhotel is perfect, clean and quiet, not many visitors during a low season (i was basically alone there all the time). You can also enjoy some attractions around or visit Luzern by boat fastly.

A wonderful 2 nights spent with a friend at this property enjoying nearby hikes in the beautiful scenery and a relaxing visit to the spa facilities. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious.

Nice little village situated halfway the mountain.

Nice little village situated halfway the mountain. No cars allowed but the trains stop right in the middle of the village and the cable car to the lake is almost as close. Hiking trails are very nice and provide plenty of views. Not many restaurants but the one open provided nice food. There is one shop with all necessary items. A bit expensive but when food approaches its overdue date, it's offered with 50% discount.

Mount Rigi is one of the most beautiful areas on Earth. Rigi Kaltbad is a start point of hiking with the breathtaking views over mountains, lakes and alpine meadows. It is a car-free area, so one enjoys clean air, clear views and bio berries and vegetables grown on the alpine slopes. Rigi-Kaltbad means pastoral landscapes, peace and absolute harmony.

For being on top of a mountain, there are a lot of things...

For being on top of a mountain, there are a lot of things that are easily accessible. We did some very easy hiking along a wheelchair accessible trail as well as a couple of side trails. The spa is pretty special, as long as the pool going outdoors is open. There are a couple of good restaurants and a couple of mediocre ones. Everything costs what it does in Switzerland: a lot. But it's possible to find pretty decent hotel deals.

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful location! Fantastic atmosphere surrounded by nature. Superb furnishings and interior decorations – high-quality and well-maintained! Excellent, varied food options on all levels! Good transport links, yet so peaceful, and beautiful views of the sky and Mount Rigi all around!!

Everything you need for a long weekend in the mountains: a well-stocked village shop, friendly people everywhere, several dining options from simple to fine dining, from breakfast to dinner, and fantastic panoramic views across Lake Lucerne to the Bernese Alps. Breakfast was just great. I enjoyed the coffee, bread and the croissants. On most days, a plate with some nice cheeses, meat and some nuts/dried fruit was presented. The staff was more than willing to help with anything, and was eager to share tips for things to do and restaurants to eat. The views from the room towards the lake are just stunning. Hiking starts right in front of the hotel. Especially nice was the (not included) dinner. I would definitely recommend this to anyone staying here.

Facilities were incredible especially the crystal spa and outdoor pool ! I loved the cable car dropping us to the door of the hotel. But a special mention goes to the gentleman that served us beside the pool. Really welcoming and professional whilst friendly. Also the staff at breakfast and our evening meal were also incredible. One gentleman even keeping my bag safe that I left behind .

The hotel is wonderful, situated at the top with an amazing view of the lake and mountains. The staff was very friendly, with plenty of humor and pleasant communication. They were also very welcoming to our child. Dinner was delicious, and breakfast with a view of the mountains and snowfall was truly impressive. We definitely plan to return and visit again. Highly recommended!

My fiancée and I stayed a single night at the Hotel- We expected to spend little time at the Hotel, but instead do some hiking in the areas. The weather was NOT in our favour, and we had next to zero visibility. The host kindly upgraded us to an amazing room, which really helped lift our spirits. We'll definitely be back, hopefully with fever clouds littering the sky
