The recent refurbishment is classy and stylish. The pool is swanky with huge windows looking out over the mountains, ditto for the spa which is 13chf extra per day and worth a visit. Breakfast is ample with lots of choice. No complaints at all! Staff are nice too. I stayed in a mixed dormitory because the hotel was full so no female dorms were set up. The room was big. For a youth hostel it’s not cheap but what can I say, it is Switzerland so what can you do? It’s a 7 minute walk to the funicular which drops you into the ski resort. I loved the skiing. Lots of red runs and many drag lifts.

<A truly exceptional stay> Our group of eight Canadian hikers stayed at Le Besso during our trek on the Walker's Haute Route, and our experience was truly outstanding. Six of us, including myself, stayed in the loft, which was clean, well-maintained, and had a romantic, unique, and lovely feel. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was great—it was one of the best we had on the entire hike. All of this would easily earn a 5-star rating, but it was the exceptional care from the staff that motivated me to write this review. First, when heavy rain disrupted our plans, the gentleman working in the cafe—likely the owner or manager—went above and beyond to help. He advised us on how to avoid dangerous sections of the trail, helped us arrange a taxi, and provided clear directions for public transportation. Second, when we asked if breakfast could be served a little earlier to help us stay on schedule, he listened to our request and accommodated us. Finally, and most importantly, I realized I had left my down jacket in the loft after we had already moved on. I contacted the staff, and they immediately agreed to look for it. After they found it, they promptly mailed it to my hostel in Geneva so I could receive it before leaving the country. Honestly, I didn't expect to see it again, so when the package arrived, I was incredibly touched. It was the perfect ending to my trip in Switzerland. Thank you, Le Besso, for your exceptional service and for adding such a wonderful memory to my trip. I highly recommend this place.

We had a wonderful experience at the Hotel Bella Tola & Spa in Switzerland, a beautifully restored hotel set in a magical location. Situated in a charming town, the hotel impressed us with its cleanliness, elegant decor, cozy rooms, and comfortable beds. It's an ideal location for hiking and exploring Switzerland. Moreover, we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfast and dinner offerings during our stay.

Saint-Luc, a ski resort that preserves the authenticity of a village, offers in the summer the most beautiful hikes we've ever done around alpine lakes with magnificent scenery. And what can we say about the five 4000-meter peaks that appear along our hikes?

Very pleasant walks from Tignousa to Chandolin, and also to...

Very pleasant walks from Tignousa to Chandolin, and also to the Wiesshorn Hotel. I particularly enjoyed the descent to St-Luc; you cross forests of larch and Swiss pine, there are many waterfalls, and at this time of year the hundreds of rhododendrons in bloom make the place even more beautiful.

Magnificent mountain, extraordinary view.

Magnificent mountain, extraordinary view. Very long ski lifts. We had fantastic snow conditions and beautiful weather. No parasols on the terraces, our noses got sore. I loved this discovery. I'll come back to hike to the Weisshorn Hotel. While the food at the Matterhorn Hotel was poor, the food at Beausite was excellent.

A very beautiful, very peaceful village with a unique atmosphere. However, for a village that has an astronomical observatory, there is too much urban lighting at night (light pollution and energy waste).

Well-situated just by a bus stop, the hotel has a super view over the Val d'Anniviers. We had an excellent welcome, even though earlier than expected, and could leave our bags while we took the funicular to benefit from the good weather. We also received the 50% discount voucher for the lifts -of which we'd been unaware! The meal in the restaurant was also very good.
