I can’t express how grateful we are for the incredible hospitality we experienced at this hotel. We arrived drenched from a heavy rain and asked for an early check-in. Despite the odd hour and no staff being physically present at the hotel, they went above and beyond to find a solution and ensure we received our keys without any hassle, and it was all free of charge! Our situation didn’t end there—every piece of clothing we had was soaked. The hotel personnel were absolute lifesavers, taking all our wet garments and putting them into a drying machine. This kind gesture was just what we needed after such a rough start to our day. As if that wasn’t enough, we were sitting in our room with no dry clothes when the hotel staff brought us a pan full of hot tomato soup. It was incredibly delicious, rich with herbs, and it warmed us right up. This thoughtful touch truly made our stay unforgettable. Considering the extremely low price of our stay, we expected something really simple and maybe even a bit shabby. However, it was completely the opposite! The service and amenities were outstanding. We can’t recommend this hotel enough. Their attention to detail and dedication to guest comfort is unparalleled. Thank you for turning a miserable day into a memorable stay!

I with my friends stayed only one night at the hotel and we really liked the place. The rooms are clean and well designed with the modern furniture. The quality of metreses and pillows is high & we slept well. There is a restaurant & reception in the neighbouring bulding. The parking is free of charge & the location is perfect. We had a great stay at Hotel B&B Stossplatz! The breakfast, the staff (Katrin and her mother), the service, convenient with a parking space right outside, the proximity to the Appenzell city center, restaurants, train station and more - was really great! We could not have wished for better accommodation during our hike weekend in Appenzellerland! Highly recommended and we will of course return!

The owner(Robert) came to pick us up from the train station and he is very friendly. Hotel is near to the Appenzell train station(600m) We got an early check-in and late check-out. Delicious breakfast buffet. Spacious bathroom with a bath tub. Large balcony with a beatifull city view.
