We really liked the Bamboo Leaf Hotel and the staff, especially Vivianne who helped us with booking tours and borrowing scooters and bikes. She is super friendly, kind, caring, efficient and speaks excellent English which helped us so much! The whole staff was very friendly and helped look after all our needs! We would highly recommend this beautiful, clean, well-designed high-end hotell for the value, incredible service and mostly the delightful staff working here! We would love to stay again if our travels bring us to Yangshuo! Thank you so much from 2 happy Canadians! ,😁🇨🇦

The hotel is located in a very beautiful part of Yangshuo, really charming with exceptional view of the river. We had a great time at the Sugar House. All of the staff were helpful and friendly, particularly Sarah, who went out of her way to help us in organizing driver and booking trips and activities that we wanted to go on. The restaurant is excellently decorated, food in both breakfast, and dinner is truly delicious. We had booked half board, the chef has provided us with different set menu each evening, showcasing Guangxi cuisine, and some dishes are exceptional. The redesign of a an old sugar factory as a hotel has been realized extremely well, bringing contemporary post modernist design to a beautiful setting in the Yangshuo landscape. Highly recommended as a place to stay for exploring the amazing Yangshuo landscape.

We were initially surprised that it was not too close to the city, but we actually loved the location and felt immersed in nature with this spectacular view of the mountains. Being in the city would not have been the same. I am still dreaming about the view and the nearby village! The staff was so helpful and welcoming! Our host was fluent in English which made our trip arrangement easier. The food was really nice for the price! We will definitely be back!

As long-term travelers, we are exceptionally discerning about where we stay, and this hotel exceeded our every expectation. The 90-degree high-temperature laundry service is, without a doubt, a game-changer. We were able to pack light, knowing we could properly sanitize and refresh our entire wardrobe in a few hours. This level of cleanliness extends throughout the property; the offer of sealed, disposable towels and bath towels was a modern touch we've rarely seen and highly valued. The gym allowed us to maintain our routine, and the extensive breakfast buffet provided sustained energy for long days of hiking and cycling. The convenience of having a quality restaurant on-site for a simple, delicious dinner after an exhausting day cannot be overstated. This hotel understands the needs of the modern, hygiene-conscious traveler and delivers impeccable service and facilities.

Located between the mountains and rivers, the design of the whole hotel is also very poetic and picturesque. The geographical location of the hotel is very good. Just by the Yulong River, you can also see the bamboo raft slowly passing by. And it's full of fairy spirit. Open-air swimming pool. Here you can hear the chirping of cicadas in the distance and feel the fresh breath of the mountains. If it's a rainy day, it will be even more comfortable~ Staying in the room and listening to the sound of rain is also a way to enjoy.

The view is superb!

The view is superb! I have never seen anything like this in my life. The locals are kind and ready to help. Very safe to travel by family or alone. It's best to spend a week there and explore the region by renting a local electric scooter . But some point of interests are far apart and required to travel by boat so if you can't be bothered, make sure to have your local tour guide to help.

Having a local guide Anna take us around really was special - she went far beyond and above and showed us all the special places. We loved that we could hire the electric bikes from the hotel to go and explore the beauty around

Yangshuo is what people think of when they think of Guilin.

Yangshuo is what people think of when they think of Guilin. It is set in beautiful surroundings, with karst hills, forests and rivers, is full of history and interest and is packed with lively bars and restaurants but has easy access to quieter, rural lanes and villages. Visitors love to dress up in local dress and photograph themselves so there's quite a party atmosphere. I loved it and wished I'd stayed longer than two nights.

There is a lot to do in Yangshuo.

There is a lot to do in Yangshuo. Very nice places to see and we can also enjoy some of them using a bike or scooter. Take a cruise on the Li river and enjoy a bamboo boat rafting (quite soft). At nigh don't miss the light show, an amazing event on water with more than 200 artists

We stayed at Chaoyang village, it is close to Yulong River, which is the quieter side of Yangshuo (compartively). The karst landscape is beautiful and the manual bamboo rafting (not motorised like those at Li River) experience is highly recommended!

A trip up and down the river (raft or boat) and walking...

A trip up and down the river (raft or boat) and walking around West street are the highlights, we enjoyed the local park and the . The scenery is very beautiful, but marred by the traffic. We ate in the restaurant at the River-View hotel, very popular with locals and tourists alike. Don't imagine you can get to other towns easily by public transport, the bus station is well outside of town, hence the large numbers of e-scooters in use. The "Yangshuo" train station is actually 34km/21 miles away from Yangshuo, at Xinping, you need to book train tickets a few days in advance, they often sell out. Be aware of the Great Fire-wall of China; all google apps and many more don't work. Most people (and our hotel) used WeChat (instead of WhatsApp), AliPay, and DiDi for taxis- download the apps before you get to China and bring a local sim with you.

This is an excellent and nice place. By far not a luxury hotel, but a simple but pleasant place. We were on floor 2 and had partial view on the mountains - this disappointed me a bit because this was the one reason I booked the place. I guess higher floors have a nicer view. The staff is extremely friendly. Part of them speak English. Location is a bit far from Yangshuo town but a didi taxi costs only 2-3 US $ There are hundreds of place like this hotel but only few of them are on booking.com Overall very nice

A perfect stay in every way! The hotel is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Yangshuo, and the view from my room was breathtaking. The room itself was well-designed, clean, and cozy. The staff were amazing—so friendly and accommodating, and they spoke excellent English. They helped me book a bamboo raft tour and even arranged transportation to the airport. The breakfast was delicious, with both Chinese and Western options. I had such a relaxing and enjoyable time here. Highly recommended.

Stayed at this wonderful hotel near Yangshuo West Street and had an amazing experience! The staff went above and beyond—they crafted a perfect itinerary for exploring the area, covering all the must-sees like Bamboo Rafting and the stunning karst landscapes. Their friendly and attentive service made me feel right at home. Plus, the hotel’s location was ideal—close enough to the vibrant energy of West Street yet quiet enough for a peaceful rest. The staff were very kind and helpful, always available and attentive. They care about their work and guests. The food was super tasty and the menu well balanced. The location is perfect: super quiet and peaceful and only a 20 min walk to the centre of Yangshuo. The rooms were big, with very comfortable beds and pillows, very clean and had an amazing bath tub. We have nothing but praises for this place. Probably the best hotel we have ever stayed at.
