Our first impression was about the property size and beauty! And we were impressed how clean and lovely the room was. Amazing! It’s definitely a paradise! Lots of hiking trails right on the property! The place is an ideal starting point for the Cerro Chirripo hike. Parking your car here while you are on the hike is allowed at no extra charge which is definitely a plus. It was possible to adjust the time of breakfast so that we could make an early start. The rooms are simple, but good size and the beds are comfortable. Washing machine was not mentioned in the description, but there is one and we could have our laundry done for a reasonable price.

We stayed in the deluxe waterfront bungalow, which is at a separate location from the rest of the hotel. Their restaurant was closed during our stay so we didn't have dinner, and didn't want breakfast so we spent very little time on the hotel grounds. My review is thus for the bungalow only. That review is...wow!! This building and property was absolutely stunning. It's a beautiful and rustic log cabin, and it's RIGHT next to the river so you have a view you'll never tire of, and hear the rushing sound of water everywhere. And the entry to the property is gated so there's simply no one else around you. They even provided wood to build a fire in the built-in fire pit on the deck. It's like your own private riverside paradise!

This place is just wonderful. An oasis! There is a beautiful garden with lots of trees and flowers. The bungalow is cozy, clean and comfortable. And the staff is super friendly and helpful. We stayed here a night before we left for Cerro Chirripó, and also after. We got a warm welcome again after we finished the hike, which was lovely. They can arrange a taxi for you to bring to the start of the hike. And also a packed breakfast. Oh, and you get a bottle of wine (complimentary). So nice. We recommend this place!

It’s the perfect place to reconnect with nature and watch the Costa Rican wildlife, we were able to spot a lot of animals while here. We had a very peaceful stay, the position is great, the centre of Rivas is easily accessible. The hosts are incredible! They have been very helpful throughout our stay, with many suggestions and tips about places to visit and activities to do. We’ll definitely be back and we recommend it to everyone who’d like to experience and authentic stay immersed in nature.
