Great location, almost downtown, but feels separate.standard rooms with good bathrooms. Can’t beat the price. Very friendly and helpful staff.

This hotel and staff turned out to be perfect! Great price with breakfast included. Staff were excellent and very accommodating as we were stranded for 6 days with storm. Lovely grounds and large pool and pergola. Rooms are not fancy but clean and comfortable. They are working on refurbishment. Easy uber or walk to eateries or downtown if you prefer ride. Perfect spot to wait out storm!

We stayed at Destino for one night and really liked it! The place is surrounded by nature, and on a clear, sunny day, you can see three volcanoes. One of the coolest features of the rooms is that one of the walls is made of natural rock, giving you the feeling of being in a cave - yet everything is modern and well-built. The hosts were very welcoming too. Liz sent us lots of great recommendations for things to do in the area. You can also enjoy an outdoor bath with hot thermal water that comes straight from the ground. The highlight of the property is the cold river, which you can reach within a few minutes. In the Costa Rican heat, swimming in that fresh, flowing water was absolutely amazing. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature and quiet, while still staying in a comfortable and thoughtfully designed house.

This is low budget no frills place to sleep. Everything was clean but bare bones. Towel and remotes for TV and AC handed to you with key. Metal rack for clothes. Small fridge occupies most of the cramped desk. Bed was hard but I slept well. For $60 in a pinch though it was a godsend.
