This is a place you have to see if you ho to Poa Area. The best accomodation we ve experienced so far in CR. It has a little Mullholland Drive feeling when you see the night come down and all these lights in the valley shine into these huge windows across the balcony. Kids didn‘t want to leave. Lovely living room, huge kitchen - this is the home of holiday.

Great place, lovely vibe and a good location. Upgraded the room for a small price and the host is lovely. Had an early checkout to go to the Poas vulcano and they even offered me to get a shower after checkout time.

Can't say enough good about this hotel. The setting was beautiful and relaxing. We stayed here before catching an early flight in the morning after 10 days of traveling. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. Would stay again for longer as price and service were exceptional.

We stayed at Hotel Vista Linda Montana at the beginning and end of our trip. The owner, Renate, and her staff were wonderful. They generously allowed us to check in late, and check out VERY early. Renate even had coffee ready for us at 4 am! The hotel is beautiful with lush gardens and beautful views. We highly recommend this lovely place.

Grecia is a wonderful little town.

Grecia is a wonderful little town. I was here to find a new home so I was looking throughout the area and visited Atenas and Naranjo as well. We decided on a place near Naranjo. In Grecia I ate at several local Sodas which were fantastic and a more upscale restaurant called Bariles which was fantastic. POPs ice cream shop is also highly recommended. In Atenas I ate at a really good Italian restaurant called Firenze. The Pasta Puttanesca was cooked to perfection. When driving watch for motorcycles.

The town might appeal to some, but it's not my cup of tea...

The town might appeal to some, but it's not my cup of tea for CR. High population density, loud, lots of traffic. The main town square, around the park and church, isn't as peaceful as other CR towns and there were numerous panhandlers. We didn't find any stores or places to eat worth mentioning.

Grecia is a very good base to visit the area.

Grecia is a very good base to visit the area. Very clean, and reasonable priced. We took the local bus everywhere and it was very doable. Also you can find a lots of tours, or a local can drive you at a very reasonable price.

The people are very cordial and helpful.

The people are very cordial and helpful. The town has most of the amenities that one would look for in a foreign country. We enjoyed eating at Cafe Delicias #1. We were able to navigate in a car after we discovered the one way streets and the parking rules. We are not young people, I am 82 and my wife is 78. We are looking forward to spending at least 6 months next year living in the area.

Grecia was not as expected from literature I read because of it's size and amount of traffic. The main down town area was very busy with bad sidewalks which made walking the town difficult. Lovely cathedral and park and great restaurants. Local people were friendly and helpful. We ate at Los Barriles twice because the food was so delicious and very reasonably priced. La Terraza Bed & Breakfast was the nicest hotel we stayed at in the Grecia area.

We started our vacation at Hotel Mango Valley and everything was great! The view from the balcony was amazing, the garden area with pool really nice and the breakfast was good, too :) It was located a little outside of our route but definitely worth it.
