Charming two level cabin in a remote location, but convenient for an early morning visit to Poás Volcano. We were just 2 people but the cabin has sleeping for at least 10 people as well as a kitchen with hob, fridge freezer and wood fireplace, plus WiFi. The views are spectacular! Lots of blankets which came in handy as this was the coldest area we stayed in CR! Host was lovely and was waiting for us to guide us on where to park as waze was going to take us further down the track! Make sure you let her know your arrival time.

Breakfast was great but you should also try their dinner menu - everything we tried was delicious. There are many areas in the property where you can enjoy the views and nature. The location is great for ventures to close-by attractions. The glamping tents are decorated lovely and well appointed. The host even provided us with an electric heater as she felt it might get too cold at night. The kitchenette offered more than we expected. We stayed at the Altura Hotel. It was amazing beyond words! Can not say enough about this place. We stayed in a 'dome/yurt' and it was beautiful, well appointed and excellent in every sense of the word. Breakfast was included and it was such a treat!

This was a beautiful property.

This was a beautiful property. We enjoyed the foliage and flowers and all the little sitting areas. The room was very comfortable and had all of the amenities we required. The only thing that could be improved upon is to have a breakfast selection. It was the same thing every morning.

From the time we arrive we felt more than welcomed.. everything was prepared for us in the most effective way..the location of the hotel was like a fairytale..our room has a fantastic view ..the breakfast was so hommy and delicious.. And above all I have to say that the owner was so kind and friendly and generous..she make everything she could to make our stay a fantastic experience.

The room is not fancy but very clean. we had a Mountain View room and it was super clean and cute. It had everything we needed. The location is perfect and the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful with everything. The restaurant on site is pretty good and we’ll visited by tourists and locals alike. Very good value hotel in Poas.

Very nice hotel with amazing view from the terrace. The bed was very comfy and shower had hot water. We also got delicious coffee in our room. There are many restaurants nearby and it is really close to Poas Volcano. The owner was very friendly and helped us organize the visit to the volcano in the morning
