During my recent visit to the town, I found it to be an...
During my recent visit to the town, I found it to be an ideal spot for a short stay of a night or two. This allowed me to explore the local history related to the railroad, Afro-Caribbean culture on the Atlantic coast, and visit nearby attractions such as the Reventazón and Pacuare Rivers, as well as Barra del Colorado. For a delightful café experience, I recommend trying the pinto with scrambled eggs at La Castellana. Alternatively, you can enjoy a delicious meal at the Hoosana Food Garden, where various options can be ordered from their multiple windows. The town of Siquirres is a mere 2-hour trip from San Jose. However, do keep in mind that the highway is currently under construction, and be cautious of regulated traffic through the Braulio Carrillo National Park.Guest review byCarlos
