We did a tour to the cheesemaking farm Herencia, high up on the slope of the volcano. Getting there via Google maps was a bit tedious but on the way back we got better directions - via Santa Cruz and Torito. The tour is a great experience! On the way back we visited the national monument at Guayabo. We also tried to reach the Aquiares waterfall, but this is a bit difficult to find and we did not get there in time, had to turn back. The last stretch is climbing over big boulders along the riverbed.Guest review byStegeman

Kenneth and Mauricio are excellent cooks, Mauricio is an experienced and trustworthy skipper for rafting. - Good equipment on the river! If you want to raft Pacuare, make it safe: Take a close look on competent guides and adequate equipment, for the sake of your own health!
