FAQs about hotels in Prague

Discover the Magic of Prague

The Czech capital is nothing short of magical, with Prague’s countless bridges, cathedrals, domes and castles reflected in the Vltava River. Thankfully the city escaped most of WWII’s destruction, leaving the rich history and fairytale façade of this Bohemian city intact.

Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle complex in the world and the St. Vitus Cathedral is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. The Cathedral’s lookout tower rewards those willing to climb 300 steps with the best view of the city.

Walking through the cobblestone streets of the Mala Strana district will bring you to the Charles Bridge. Prague’s beautiful 14th-century monument buzzes with musicians and local crafts sales. The Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church, and Storch building of Old Town compete for popularity with the neoclassical Estate Theatre and the Czech National Museum.

The cafes and restaurants of Wenceslas Square are great for people watching and the Franz Kafka house, the Old New Synagogue and Frank Gehry’s Dancing House are perfect for soaking up history.

Flights arriving at Prague Vaclav Havel International Airport will be in the city centre after a short subway ride. For historic hotels, cheap hostels or charming apartments head to Booking.com for nearly 700 accommodations in Prague.

Lovely in the winter with clear blue skies and that magic period from 4pm to 5pm when the sun goes down. Cheap quality beer obviously but everything is cheap in the supermarkets. Trams come along every few minutes and you can ride a few stops for free. Try staying around Vrsovice southeast of the city where you will find mostly locals in the pubs and even cheaper beer. Also I recommend standing on the terraces with the ultras at Bohemians 1905 Praha for a cost of about 8 pounds. I recommend a hardcore punk pub on Krymska where fridges of big beer bottles line one wall and you just take out what you want supermarket style. About 40 yards further down that road is an old school Bohemians 1905 pub, worth going to on match days.

Prague is a charming city — much more beautiful than Vienna.

Prague is a charming city — much more beautiful than Vienna. It has colorful, ornamented sidewalks, amazingly decorated buildings, and extremely convenient and inexpensive public transport. People are friendly and kind everywhere. The security and efficiency of the police are remarkable. The parks are well-maintained, bright, and spacious. The city also has a very well-developed cycling network. If you can stay for more than three days, you won’t regret it.

This is my favorite town in Europe. I've been there several times and I'll be back again. A very nice place to spend a weekend to relax. Wonderful architecture and views. Very suitable for walking around the city.

The Jewish quarter was very interesting.

The Jewish quarter was very interesting. The Jerusalem Synagogue is an excellent museum of Bohemian Jewry. The restaurants are plentiful and caters to everybody's taste. The cobbled strets are difficult for wheelchair users and carers. There are trams everywhere. We ate in a Czech restaurant serving traditional cooking that haad been established over 100 years. As it was full of Czech people it was doing everything right. The ghouash was wonderful. One disadvantage is that cash os very much the preferred metoid of payment.

We loved everything about this hotel! Firstly, the location, which is right in the city centre, so we walked everywhere. Secondly, the room itself - it was very spacious and clean, same as the hotel. Breakfast was great too, lots to choose from. There is also a supermarket at the Old Town square, which is 2 minutes away from the hotel. We literally don’t have any remarks about the accommodation.

This hotel is located in front of the tram line and is only a 15 - 20 minute walk to Old town square. It is also one subway stop away from the main train station. There are many restaurants and shops nearby. We were on the 8th floor and found our room to be quiet and very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was very good and there was a good selection of hot and cold dishes.

The hotel and room was very clean. Rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The hotel was in the perfect location, about 6 or 7 minute walk from the old town square and new town. I would stay here again.
