Spotlessly clean, very roomy, excellent beds / bedding and well equiped kitchen area. Easy to find, 10 minutes walk to local supermarket, 20 minutes into town. Had a problem when we arrived with the key safe and couldn't get in. One quick phone call and problem instantly resolved with an upgraded appartment

The old town is cute and well connected with other villages...

The old town is cute and well connected with other villages via the train station. We could walk to a beer garden 30 minutes away in the next town (across the river) and then return by train. The local restaurants are small and cosy, and if you are looking to save, there is also a supermarket and a kebab place at walking distance.

If like me, you are interested in the 12-13th century Holy...

If like me, you are interested in the 12-13th century Holy Roman Empire and its Staufer emperors, do NOT miss this place. And even if you aren't a Staufer fan, this is a great place to learn about them--second only to Palermo, Italy, where the great Frederick II, his father and first wife are buried. I was surprised by how much is left of the Wimpfen castle, which most of the Staufers visited from time to time, and where, in 1235, Frederick II had his famous meeting with his wayward son, King Henry VII of Germany, which resulted in Henry being consigned to a dungeon it Italy, where he committed suicide. I'm a big Frederick II fan and was surprised to find out that after 800 years, the locals still side with Henry!

Bad Wimpfen – a dreamy little town with a picturesque old...

Bad Wimpfen – a dreamy little town with a picturesque old town well worth seeing. In the castle district, you'll still encounter many silent witnesses from its time as an imperial palace. The spa gardens invite you to take a stroll. The view from there down into the Neckar Valley is also lovely. Everything is within walking distance.

Beautiful old town with many half-timbered houses;...

Beautiful old town with many half-timbered houses; comfortable shoes are recommended as the streets are cobblestone. Ideal for hikers and cyclists, beautifully situated on the Neckar River. Bad Rappenau is nearby (5 minutes by car) and has a graduation tower. Heidelberg is worth a visit and easily accessible.

The old town and the Neckar promenade are worth seeing. The brine baths are accessible from the hotel. Keep in mind that exploring the old town and other areas can be a bit challenging. I can't understand the negative reviews of the hotel; we were pleasantly surprised by our accommodation.

We had booked the Fernblick but when we arrive we were told there was no availability but we would be booked into the Rosengarten Hotel instead. This was a surprise but was a pleasant one. The hotel was comfortable, very clean and had all we needed (except a kettle) in the room. This hotel is within easy walking distance from the beautiful town centre, although there were some quite steel hills. Would definitely stay again.

Super! Very big room, clean, calm, you can sleep very well, no noise in the street. Good location in the city center. 1 Min walking you have bakery, 2 Min pizzeria. Highly recommended. Good price. Bad Wimpfen is beautiful, old town.
